The New Orleans sunlight crept through the drapes of Mikaelson compound, perfectly hitting Briana's face as she slept. She grumbled slightly feeling the warmth on her face. She rolled over to snuggle into Klaus only for her arm to hit their soft mattress.
Her eyes slowly opened as she readjusted to the new found life. She looked to the end of the bed to see Klaus standing in front of his easel.
"What are you doing?" Briana grumbled tiredly as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes.
"Hold still," Klaus smiled innocently pointing his paintbrush at Briana, "Morning sun offers the best light."
Briana's eyes immediately went wide as she shot up from the bed. In truth, she can't recall a time she had ever gotten up that fast.
"No, no, no, no," Briana rambled as she scurried out of bed. Klaus shoulders falling with annoyance knowing exactly what she was up to.
"We've been over this Nik. I do not want or need to remember how pregnant, and swollen, I am. In painting form or otherwise." She expressed as she snatched the paintbrush from his hand.
She held it up tauntingly, "Don't make me start hiding these."
Klaus chuckled under his breath, mesmerized with how cute Briana was when she was 'angry.'
"Fine," He admitted faux defeat, "I was practically finished anyways." He turned back to admired his almost completed work of art.
It was a portrait of Briana sleeping, adorned in the sheets and blankets of their bed with her rounded stomach. It was a calm piece. The colors cool and the strokes whimsical.
Briana snuck a glimpse of the painting from over Klaus' shoulder. She wouldn't dare let him know that she wanted to see it, let alone that she actually liked it. She was stubborn. She had to stick to her guns.
"You're beautiful." Klaus turned back towards her after taking in the beauty of his girl on the canvas to see it in real life, "You know, I pictured a lot of things when you got pregnant, but I never realized how sexy you would look carrying my child."
A stunned expression turned on Briana's face as her cheeks got warm. Klaus looked at her with his classic smirk and raised eyebrows as his thumbs rubbed small circles into her hips.
"Truly.." Klaus started pressing soft kisses down the side of her neck, "Ravishing." He finished.
The longer his actions lasted, the more Briana became suspicious. This wouldn't be the first time Klaus had used sweet talk to get himself out the doghouse. Most times Briana was able to stay strong, but lately, her desire for him outweighed her morals.
She quickly shook away her thoughts as she lifted his lips from her neck. A stern look on her face.
"What did you do?" She questioned Klaus knowing his actions, while not entirely unwelcome, were rooted deeper than lust.
"What?" Klaus questioned innocently though the devious grin on his lips said something different entirely.
"Don't act all innocent. I know this game. You either did something dumb that you know I'll be mad about or you're going to do something I'll be mad about and trying to earn brownie points." Briana spoke knowingly.
Klaus smile only growing knowing how intuitive she is. She knows him better than he could ever know himself.
"So spill. What is it?" Briana demanded.
Klaus chuckled as his hands found her hips again, "You know me too well. It's actually quite scary."
Briana smirked flirtatiously as she rose her eyebrows in a teasing manner. Scary was one of the highest compliments Klaus Mikaelson could give.
