The church was overflowing with mourners as the niece of the fallen priest approaching his casket. Her perfect blonde hair rested on effortlessly on her shoulders as tears fell down her face.

In the back of the church, the door swung open as the final mourners took their seats. Klaus Mikaelson entered, Briana by his side, their hands interlocked as they stepped fully inside.

Sniffles left Briana's nose as she they walked down the aisle to meet Camille who was sitting in the first pew. She stood to greet them, Briana wrapping her in a warm hug offering her consoling words. She sat beside Camille, holding her hands as Klaus approached the now closed casket, opening it.

Inside, instead of what he assumed would be the deceased priest, he found a baby, its coos echoing through the church. He immediately knew it to be his child. He could sense it. A feeling that ran from his head to his toes.

"Hi." He whispered softly as he reached for the baby, a grin on his face, but just as he was about to grab her, the breath was taken from his body as a stake jammed through his back.

Blood spewed from his mouth from the impact. He gasped for breath. He slowly turned to meet a man he never thought he would see again. The man that haunted him in life, and now, presumably in death.

Klaus' eyes went wide as frightened noises left his lips. Mikael, Klaus' father, wrapped his hand around his throat as he sneered, "Greetings, boy."

He was trembling in fear. He could feel the air getting thicken and he couldn't breathe.

A gasp left the hybrid's lips who was just sleeping a moment prior. He shot up in the bed, shaking it as he did. Briana immediately awakening at Klaus' sudden movement.

Klaus tried to catch his breath. The nightmare shaking him to his very core. Briana was shocked to see Klaus like this.

"Hey," She whispered comfortably wrapping her arms around him, "You're alright," She cooed, "It's me."

Briana placed her hand to his chest to try and steady his ragged breathing. She was looking at Klaus with concern and worry written all over his face. Klaus turned his head to meet her eyes.

"It's okay," She repeated over and over as the hybrids breathing returned to a normal pace.

She pulled Klaus into a hug watching as he melted into her embrace. Briana didn't know what the hell was going on in his head, but if it frightened him, especially to this capacity, she knew, something was coming.

Kieran O'Connell took his last breathes just a few days ago. After Camille's last resort to turning him into a vampire and freeing him from the torment of the witch's hex, he did not complete the transition, only to discover the hex was rooted to deeply and was killed out of mercy.

All the factions were gathering for his services, even those who had wronged him the most: the witches.

Genevieve had insisted the Harvest girls not attend the service and return to the lycée to hone their craft. Once dismissed, Monique lingered behind.

"I don't know why we're supposed to care about Kieran O'Connell." Monique said carelessly as she chased after Genevieve.

"We care because when a pillar of our community passes, Monique, you call a ceasefire and pay respects." Genevieve said with some moral integrity.

"Or you just want to see Klaus. You seem to be over there almost every day." Monique pointed out.

Genevieve sighed, "I need the Mikaelsons to trust me so I can get close enough--"
