The Mikaelson brother reunion was everything you thought it would be, especially with brother's on opposing sides.

As four sat around the dining room table, Klaus, Elijah, Finn and Kol, with an array of breakfast pastries and fruit before them, it was clearly that even after a thousand years, their parents would always drive a wedge between them.

Klaus was trying with everything in him to persuade, and lightly threaten, his brothers to join he and Elijah in going up against Esther. Elijah, who was much more testy than usual, sat with a scowl on his face, less than enthused by the theatrics.

"We have no desire to torture you," Klaus smiled as he stood from his chair at the head of the table, making his behind Finn who had taken up residence in the body of Vincent Griffith.

".. provided you voice to stand beside us.. as brothers." Klaus gloated as he placed a hand on Finn's shoulder which he promptly shook off.

"Brothers.." Finn scoffed with disgust in his tone, "Does that word even apply to us?"

Elijah shot daggers at his older brother.

"After all these centuries of betrayal, and is loyalty to you ever really rewarded?" Finn continued, turning his head to face Klaus at the end of his sentence, "If so, tell me Niklaus, where is our sister Rebekah?"

Klaus smiled dropped as he made his way back to the head of the table, trying to conceal of the gulp of nervousness he had just swallowed. Elijah stayed firm, his demeanor never faltering at the mention of his sister, knowing just how crucial it was her whereabouts remain unknown for the safety of his niece.

"She was blindly loyal to you for a thousand years, and now, nowhere to be found. Where did our sister go? And how did she escape vile machinations?" Finn taunted.

Klaus' expression turned cold with his back turned to the table. He could not let them see his worry or sense his fear.

He faced them, "You think me vile?" He sat back in his chair, a nonchalant look on his face, "What then do you make of the one who cursed us?"

Kol smiled smugly as his head was on a swivel between his brothers.

"She was trying to make you mortal again!" Finn defended Esther and her actions, "and you both refused her. Only proves how far you've fallen, but I expect Rebekah will have a difference response to her proposal. See, unlike the two of you, she always did cling to her humanity."

Elijah twirled the butter knife that rested in between his fingers. At the latest mention of his sister, he pointed it at Finn, his voice going cold, "Rebekah's off limits. You pursue her and you will suffer."

Klaus sighed sensing Elijah's anger. He placed a hand on his noble brother's shoulder, "Do not let him goad you, Elijah. Neither he nor Esther will find Rebekah unless she wants to be found, and she does not."

Finn looked between them with wide eyes, "Esther is quite determined. She's been searching for Rebekah since the day she returned. I imagine it's only a matter of time."

That was the last straw for Elijah, his mind running rampant with thoughts of what could happen if Hope was harmed. He reached across the table grabbing Finn by his tie.

Finn yelled in pain as Elijah slid him across the table. His veins and fangs appearing about to rip into Finn's neck.

Klaus sprung into action ripping his brothers apart before Elijah could draw blood. With Elijah in his grip, he sped them far enough down the hall so Finn and Kol would not hear.

He slammed Elijah up against the wall with a firm hand on his chest.

"I enjoy a good bloodletting as much as anyone." Klaus said sternly as he released his brother, offering him a handkerchief, "But out brother has power as well as knowledge of Esther's plans. We need them alive."
