"That's it." Eve instructed encouragingly as Briana laid beside her on the floor of the bayou cabin taking short, stagnant breaths as a part of the elder werewolf's birthing exercise.

Hayley stood beside the two trying to conceal her laugher upon seeing how uninterested her sister was in the practice.

"Inhale," Briana's hands rested on her stomach as she followed Eve's command, "And release."

"I don't even know why we're doing this." Briana said, "What we should be practicing is all the different colorful swear words I'm going to yell at Nik in the delivery room."

This time, Hayley let a snicker leave her lips as Eve shot her a stern look not to encourage Briana's child like behavior.

"I think I'm going to throw in a couple 'You're never touching me ever again' just to see him squirm." Briana smiled but even Eve could tell there was an underlying hint of nervousness in her voice.

"Honey, the werewolves have been having babies out here since before you were born. Stop worrying." Eve calmed with a comforting hand on Briana's knee.

The playful smile dropped from the pregnant werewolf's face as she cleared her throat uncomfortably.

"I'm sure they have.. just not this one. Plus once I get that epidural, I'll be fine." Briana said quietly as to not hurt Eve's feelings.

The werewolves were set on Briana giving birth to her miracle child out in the bayou as a part of Crescent tradition, and when Briana brought up the idea to Klaus, well, he was less than enthusiastic.

"You're not going to have the baby out here?" Eve questioned with concern.

Briana shook her head, "Nik won't allow it."

Briana felt wave of relief when Klaus dismissed the idea of her giving birth in the bayou. As much as Briana wanted to connect with the Crescents and fully embrace her newfound family, not just for herself, but for her daughter, the idea of giving birth in basically the woods was less than comforting.

"Did you even ask him?" Hayley questioned in a knowing tone.

Briana rolled her eyes jokingly, "Of course I asked him."

"And?" Hayley rose her eyebrows with her arms crossed over her chest.

"And he said and I quote 'no child of mine will be born in a swamp.'" Briana recited word for word.

Hayley rolled her eyes as Eve let out a disappointed sigh.

"I can't blame him. He was raised to repress his werewolf side. He didn't have a pack to teach him the importance of these types of traditions and frankly, neither did I. We're both still adapting to what it means to be a wolf in New Orleans." Briana defended.

In truth, both she and Klaus wanted their daughter to embrace her werewolf nature. It was something both of them were robbed of growing up. Klaus by force and Briana by ignorance. They wanted better for her which is why Briana had fully inserted herself into the Crescent pack. As one of their own, they would not only care and nurture her, but her daughter as well.

"You're trying and learning.." Hayley corrected, "Klaus is--"

"Doing his best." Briana interjected and shot her sister a stern look conveying a silent message of Klaus' moonlight rings.

"I don't entirely disagree." A familiar voice rang out. All three women turned their head to the open door of the cabin to see a certain original, dressed in his signature suit.

"Pardon the interruption," Elijah said calmly, "I wonder if I might have a quick word with the conspirators of a supposed uprising."

"I'll take that as my cue." Briana said extending her arms to Hayley. The hybrid helped her sister to her feet as Briana exited the cabin.
