Kazuha POV

Y/N's friend, Minji, practically dragged me to where the team was celebrating right after the game. About a few minutes after I was involved with the victory celebration, Y/N's ex walked over and tapped me on the shoulder.

"Kazuha right?" she said. "I'm Chaewon. Can I talk to you for a minute or so?"

"Sure," I replied.

She led me into the alley of the school. Far from where people can hear us. I had to turn on my alert mode just in case.

"I've noticed you've been sticking with Y/N and Minji," she observed. "I'm going to keep this short. Y/N's not the kind of person you would want to know more and hang out with. Trust me."

"And if I don't trust you?" I demanded.

She hesitated, took a deep breath and answered, "You're going to get hurt. Like me. You have to trust me on this Kazuha."

I didn't reply instantly. I had two options. Believe her or ignore her warnings. From what I heard from Minji, she wasn't the trustworthy type of person. A few things she had said before were true but not all. That's what Minji had warned me while Y/N was talking with her ex.

"It's better to not trust her than to trust her and be smashed into a thousand pieces by her betrayal."

Minji had warned me shortly before Y/N came back. I closed my eyes and took several deep breaths to calm down.

"Thank you for caring about me but I don't need your sympathy towards me," I growled. "I choose not to believe you." I attempted to walk off but Chaewon pulled me back.

"I'm not asking you to choose," she snapped. "It was never an a or b question."

The next few moments happened in a split second. Chaewon had pulled out a syringe from her jacket and was inching the needle closer. The liquid was transparent but it had a few small white things floating around. Drugs? She got the syringe into my skin and injected whatever it was into my bloodstream. The liquid started going down until it was empty.

"WHAT THE HELL?" I yelled but obviously nobody was around so it was futile. I was starting to get dizzy. Everything was spinning.

"Relax. It's not poison. You won't die," a distant Chaewon said. That was the last thing I heard before I passed out.

Y/N POV

There was sudden thud as if a body fell or something fell. I stayed quiet for a few more seconds until I heard Chae's voice. It doesn't take a genius to know what the sound was.

"Obviously the title Ice Crown was given to the wrong person," Chaewon scoffed.

Knowing Chaewon, she had drugged Kazuha. I had been drugged by her once too come to think of it. Chae definitely wants something in return from me.

"You're seriously cheating on our bet already? It hasn't even been one day," I protested.

"Y-Y/N," Chaewon stammered. "I'm not cheating. She just passed out."

"Bullshit. Let's see what the camera has to say," I warned and pointed to the camera that was directed on us. "Here's what you can do. One, leave. Two, tell me what you injected into her bloodstream or three, leave. Which one do you choose."

She rolled her eyes and purposely walked into me, causing out shoulder to bump. Once I made sure she wasn't close to us, I hurriedly checked Kazuha's pulse. She was still alive thankfully. I carried her inside the school and dumped her on a chair. After organizing and settling things, I called Minji. The phone was ringing but she didn't pick up. Typical Minji. I needed her car to go back home. Yes I did come by my bike. No my bike didn't get stolen. Yes I could carry her on my bike but she was unconscious and didn't have the strength to hold on so basically she would die halfway into the journey. My brain wasn't functioning well anymore.

'It's a dangerous move but I'm willing to try it' I though to myself and started to carry her. To raise less suspicion, I used the stairs instead of the lift. No dating rumors in the school for me today thank you very much. The stairs took almost all my energy yet I still had to carry her to the front of the school. To come to the worst part, I had to start my engine, drag my bike all the way to the gate, tie Kazuha to make sure she doesn't fall and get on the bike. Once I made sure none of us were seeing or meeting the light today, I sped out of the school gate.

(Fast Forward to back home).

We finally arrived and I went to unlock the front door. I was shocked at another pair of shoes at the stairs but since Yeji's a working woman, it's probably another of her co-worker. Anyways, opening the door wasn't easy especially if you had only one hand to turn off the bike and open the door but I managed.

"I'm home," I called out.

"So early?" she yelled back. "You weren't sent back were you?"

"It was an emergency," I dropped my bag on the ground and walked into the living room area. There was another girl sitting next to my sister's right. It was as if they were talking to each other before I barged in.

"Your girlfriend?" Yeji teased as soon as she saw Kazuha on my arms.

"Your girlfriend?" I teased back.

"N-No. This is Ryujin," Yeji introduced. "She's here to help me with the designs."

"Are you sure she's more than a helper?" I teased further after seeing a slight tint of red on Yeji unnie's cheeks.

"Y-You have a letter," Yeji choked out. "It's on your desk."

I raised my eyebrows at her and dragged myself up to my room. My room was located on the other side of the house so basically I had to walk all the way to the other side. Very smart right?

Third Person POV

Y/N finally reached her room and tossed Kazuha onto her bed. After settling everything down, she sat down on her desk and opened the letter.

"Why is the letter written in crimson red ink?" she muttered and started reading.

The letter:

Give me Kazuha and Minji will be spared. You know what I'm capable of.  If you seek other help, one life will be removed from this planet. I think you know whose life that is. If you want to save it, meet me at the abandoned train station tomorrow at 10 pm sharp. Come with Kazuha alone and Minji will be released to you. Since I drugged her and the drugs take 3-6 hours for the person to wake up, you're reading this alone and you can't show anybody else. There's another dose of drugs inside the envelope. Use it tomorrow at 7 or 8 pm. Thank me later Y/N. See you tomorrow!

-Dododok.

Obviously even a child could figure out who the person was and why the letter was written in crimson red. It wasn't ink. It was blood and it wasn't written by a pen. The letter was written by a paintbrush.

Author's note: Do y'all remember Chaewon's iconic mistake?

I was actually in the middle of my test while writing this chapter so sometimes everything may be unclear or makes no sense at all or it's cringey af. I hope you still enjoyed this super short chapter. Will try to write longer chapters in the future.

(1262 words). Probably the shortest I've written so far for a chapter.

(P.S. take a look at the two queens!)
