Y/N POV

In the end, Sullyoon volunteered to be my partner and I had to accept. The others were preparing to leave, with their jackets on and keys in hand. My hand went into my pocket and took out the bike keys.

"Are you ok?" Minji whispered beside me.

"I'm fine," I replied and hid my discomfort with a small smile that hopefully won't give it away.

"Fine. Always the same lie," Kyujin piped up.

"Over and over," Sullyoon added.

"Again," Kazuha finished.

I looked at their direction and laughed. Hyunjin came up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder.

"Ready?" he asked, smirking a little.

"Yeah," I replied.

"Let's go. Remember to stick to the plan," Hyunjin said.

He left the room and got into the car with Kazuha and Minji while Wonyoung got in with her team, leaving me and Sullyoon behind. I sighed and sat down, wearing my helmet and throwing one to her. She wore it and sat behind me.

"Nervous?" she asked through the helmet.

"Promise me one thing," I said, ignoring the question. "Stay close and don't die."

Sullyoon gave a small, nervous laugh. "I promise."

I smiled and turned the engine on. It purred deeply, giving a small satisfaction before reality hit me. I sped off towards the warehouse, Sullyoon giving me directions since she was the one that went there.

"A right turn and we're there," Sullyoon said and I turned. The building's shadow casted over us and it hit me what makes this her hiding spot.

The warehouse loomed ahead, its dark silhouette standing ominously against the night sky. We parked the bike a safe distance away and approached the structure cautiously, sticking to the shadows.

The others were already in position, ready to assist if needed. Sullyoon and I exchanged a quick nod before slipping inside. The interior was just as eerie as the exterior, with dim lighting and an unsettling quiet that set my nerves on edge.

We moved quickly through the labyrinthine corridors, following the faint signs of recent activity. As we ascended to the upper levels, the building's age became more apparent. The walls were cracked, and the floorboards creaked under our weight. Every step echoed ominously.

Reaching the top floor, we entered a large room that was supposed to be an office. But it was empty—no signs of her presence, no evidence that she had ever been there. My frustration boiled over.

"Damn it! She's not here," I hissed, clenching my fist and punching the wall.

"Do you hear that?" Sullyoon tilted her head and looked at me.

Beep beep beep.

"Run!" I yelled, grabbing her arm and running down the corridors.

We sprinted down the corridors, the sound of the beeping growing louder, more insistent. The building shuddered, and I realized that it wasn't just collapsing—it was rigged to explode. Panic coursed through me, but I forced myself to focus.

We reached the stairs just as the first explosion rocked the building. The force threw us off balance, and we tumbled down the steps, landing hard on the next floor. I quickly scrambled to my feet, pulling Sullyoon up beside me. I helped her up and continued running through the maze-like warehouse.
