Y/N POV

I called Hyunjin to inform him about the current plan and he agreed, as long as we don't get ourselves killed in the process. I chuckled and hung up the call then returned to the group. Yujin was with us after some disagreements with Minji but eventually, she gave up and allowed Yujin to be temporarily part of the squad.

"He agreed under the condition that we don't die," I said.

"And you said yes?" Minji asked while pouring herself a cup of water.

"I said no promises and hung up," I replied shrugging.

Minji rolled her eyes. "Of course you did."

Kazuha, who had been quiet for most of the conversation, stepped closer to me, a small smile playing on her lips. "So, what's the plan now?"

I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "We take turns staying up and spy on the mart and I call dibs on first shift."

Yujin smirked and raised one eyebrow. "Trying to avoid some beauty sleep eh?"

I mirrored her expression and raised my hand in mock surrender. "Guilty as charged."

Minji smiled and shook her head before settling in for the night and disappearing into the guest room. Yujin disappeared into Yeji's room after asking permission. Kazuha took my room and I positioned myself on the couch with a perfect view on the mart.

The clock ticked loudly, indicating one second passed. One second closer to meeting the mysterious Y if possible. A door creaked open and then was slammed shut quietly. I turned around to find Kazuha standing on the doorway.

"Anything yet?" she asked groggily.

"Nothing yet," I replied, sighing and reclining on the couch. "Aren't you supposed to be sleeping?"

"Can't sleep," Kazuha said and wrapped the blanket around her body tighter.

"Insomnia or just missing my charming presence or too excited that the word sleep is not in your dictionary anymore?" I quipped, patting the space next to me on the couch.

Kazuha chuckled softly and sat down beside me. "A bit of all, maybe."

I shifted slightly to give her more room. "Well, I can't blame you. This couch is prime real estate."

She rolled her eyes but smiled, her head leaning on my shoulder. "How do you do it, Y/N? Always finding a way to joke, even in situations like this?"

I shrugged. "It's a gift. Or a curse. Depends on who you ask."

She laughed softly. "Honestly, when did you become so sarcastic anyways? Like you left somewhere and then came back being sarcastic."

"Well, I think you have to thank Yujin for that," I answered.

"You've known Yujin for a long time then?" she asked.

"She met me in the abandoned train station that day I went out and told me if I needed intel, I could always ask her," I whispered.

Kazuha's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "So, she just appeared out of nowhere, offering her services? That's not suspicious at all?"

I smirked. "Not really. She's like an overenthusiastic salesperson. But hey, she's been helpful, so I can't complain."

Kazuha sighed and leaned in closer, her warmth seeping into me. "I'm glad you met her, then. She's pretty cool, even if she did return you your sarcasm power."

I chuckled. "I guess we all have our quirks. Mine just happens to be a finely-tuned sense of humor."

Kazuha shifted slightly, her face inches from mine. "Well, I like it. It keeps things interesting."
