Y/N POV

"I've always believed the saying, a life for a life," Chaewon said and played with my hand.

"I do to," I replied, smiling. "It seems fair actually. Revenge."

Chaewon looked up at me and rested her head on my shoulder. We stayed like this for a long time until she fell asleep. I chuckled at her cuteness and laid my head on top of hers. I didn't know how long we were asleep for but by the time I got up, we were already back home and I was on my bed. Chaewon was next to me, still sleeping peacefully.

"Hey, wake up," I shook Chaewon.

"Five more minutes," she mumbled.

I smiled and carefully got up to make breakfast. There was an awful smell in the air, like blood. However, when I went downstairs, I got my answer. It was indeed blood. Bodies were everywhere around the room. Some with their head still glued to their body while others were thrown far away. Some had legs or arms ripped off. One thing they shared in common was that they had helmets and masks. Though some of them didn't have them on, most did. Those that didn't had their eyeballs dug out and stomped.

"You weren't supposed to see them," Chaewon said from behind me, her tiredness vanished.

I spun around and almost tripped on a body. "W-What's going o-on?"

"A life for a life," Chaewon tilted her head and closed her eyes. "Like I said. You weren't suppose to see them."

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?" I demanded.

Chaewon didn't respond immediately except for putting her hand on my shoulder. Instead of comforting me, she tackled me to the ground. A few more centimeters to my right and my favorite white shirt would've been stained with blood.

"LET ME GO," I shouted. Though I was taller, she was definitely stronger and she definitely didn't have a problem holding me down.

"I'm sorry for doing this but you left me no choice," Chaewon apologized and pushed a syringe on the side of my neck. A sharp sting of pain instantly flooded into my body and I stopped struggling.

"Sleep. I'll be here when you wake up," Chaewon said. Although I had the knowledge of her standing next to me, she sounded distant. It was the last thing I heard before I passed out.

*****

I stumbled backwards and fell down, breathing heavily. My head throbbed in pain. Everything started being dark and I tried not to pass out. I felt hands trying to steady me and sounds but I wasn't sure who or what it was. The world was spinning too fast, blurry and dark for me. It was a matter of time before I passed out and I did the next second.

Flashback

"Morning," Chaewon mumbled and snuggled close to my body.

"Did I drink alcohol last night?" I groaned. My head was hurting and so was my entire body. In fact, I felt like throwing up. To make matters worse, I didn't have any recollection of yesterday

"You drank one bottle of Soju and roughly three to four shots of vodka. Do you feel like vomiting?"  Chaewon asked in concern.

"I drank Soju and vodka?" I clarified in shock. I wasn't the type of people to drink. Come to think of it, the last time I had alcohol was probably two years ago.
