"What do you mean 'it wasn't important' you had some lady claiming to be your sister attack you!" Yang shouted at Y/n from across the room.

"I didn't think it was worth mentioning," Y/n muttered, clearly frustrated with the whole situation. "I didn't even know if she was really my sister or some kind of trap. There was no reason to worry anyone over something that didn't make sense."

Yang's face flushed with anger, her fists clenching at her sides. "Not worth mentioning? Y/n, you had someone claiming to be your sister attack you! That's huge! If it was a trap, we could have helped you!"

"Exactly my point, I didn't want to bother you all over some lady I didn't think I'd see again." Y/n replied, his voice growing quieter as the weight of his own words sank in. "Especially if it was some kind of trap."

Blake, her arms crossed, stepped closer, her voice calm but serious. "That's all the more reason to tell us. If she's dangerous, if she knows things about you, that affects all of us."

Ruby stepped forward, her silver eyes full of concern. "Y/n, we've all been through crazy stuff together. Why does this have to be any different?"

Weiss, who had been standing with her arms crossed, "None of us are strangers to danger. We choose to fight for each other. If you're in danger, we're all in danger."

"Your problems are our problems," Yang said firmly, stepping closer to him. "That's how this works. That's how we work."

"Why am I being ganged up on about this? She doesn't matter, if she does become a problem I'll solve that problem. Alone."

"She's already become a problem, she attacked us on the train and she's making you doubt Ozpin!" Yang paused, her voice sharp as she pointed an accusatory finger at Y/n. "This isn't just about you, Y/n."

"Yes it is! It's only about me, she wouldn't be here if I wasn't! You wouldn't have had to fight her if it wasn't because of me, you know about her and that's it, this is where this ends I'm not putting you or Ruby in a spot to fight someone who's after me!" Y/n's voice cracked with frustration, his hands clenched into fists at his sides.

Yang's jaw tightened, her eyes narrowing as she stepped even closer, her voice low but firm. "You don't get it, Y/n. We are involved. You don't get to keep us on the sidelines just because you think you can handle it alone."

Ruby took a small step forward, "what Yang is trying to say is we're family and we want to protect you like you've always done for us."

"Ruby..." Y/n's voice was quiet, almost defeated. "You don't understand. This isn't just some fight against Grimm or stopping a thief like Roman. This is personal. This is about me. If something happens because of her, if one of you gets hurt, I wouldn't be able to live with that."

Y/n looked over the girls before turning to leave the room, "I just want to be alone for a little bit."

"Why do they have to make everything so complicated?" Y/n muttered to himself, rubbing his temples. "Why can't they just let me deal with this?"

"Maybe because they care about you, genius."

Y/n jolted, looking up to see Blake standing a short distance away, her amber eyes calm but piercing as she approached. She moved with her usual grace, taking a seat on the bench beside him without waiting for an invitation. For a moment, she said nothing, letting the silence settle between them.

Y/n sighed, leaning back and staring up at the sky. "Let me guess, you're here to lecture me too?"

Blake's expression softened, but her voice remained steady. "I don't think this is about lecturing you, Y/n," she said quietly. "It's about understanding. You spent your life with Yang and Ruby as your sisters and now there's someone trying to rip you away from them."

Y/n's fingers gripped the bench in frustration, his knuckles whitening. "It's different, Blake. You don't understand. This isn't just some random enemy, some Grimm to fight. She knows me. She might be my sister, and she might be using that to get under my skin. I don't want them caught in the crossfire, or any of the people I call friends."

"I get it, Y/n," she said softly. "You're scared. Scared of losing control, scared of dragging them into something they don't deserve. But that doesn't mean you have to shut them out. It doesn't mean you have to carry everything by yourself."

Blake turned slightly toward him, her gaze steady but thoughtful. "And that's why they need to know. Because they are your family, and they can help you figure this out together." Blake's hand found his with a light blush dusting her cheeks. "You're not alone in this, Y/n. You never have been, I can help you."

He looked down at their intertwined hands, then back at Blake's amber eyes, which were full of understanding and something else, concern, maybe even care.

Blake's grip on his hand tightened slightly, her voice unwavering. "I want to help you."

Her words lingered in the air, carrying a weight that made Y/n's heart skip a beat. He glanced at their still-intertwined hands, a blush creeping onto his face.

Y/n cleared his throat, his voice quieter now. "I... I appreciate it, Blake. I do. But this isn't just about me being scared or needing help. It's about protecting everyone else from what this might turn into."

Blake gave him a small, understanding smile. "And what if we want to protect you from what this might turn into? You're important to us, Y/n. To me." Her blush deepened slightly, but her gaze stayed steady, unwavering.

Blake leaned in closer, their faces inches apart, her breath warm against his skin. Y/n's heart thudded in his chest as the weight of her words hung in the air. For a moment, everything else seemed to fade.

Blake's voice was softer now, more intimate, as she spoke. "You don't have to protect everyone else at the cost of yourself, Y/n. Let us protect you, too." Her words were a quiet plea, filled with something deeper than friendship.

Y/n leaned closer to Blake this time, their lips almost touching, his heart racing in his chest.

"Will Team RWBY and Team BRNZ please make their way to the Amity Colosseum to begin your match?" The announcement echoed through the air, breaking the intimate moment like a bat through fragile glass.

Y/n blinked, pulling back slightly, his face flushed as he quickly stood. "I... I guess that's your cue." He stammered, trying to compose himself while avoiding Blake's gaze.

Blake blinked, her cheeks still flushed from the moment they shared. "Yeah, just remember what I said."

Y/n nodded slowly, running a hand through his hair as he avoided meeting her gaze. "I'll think about it," he muttered, his voice low but sincere. "Thanks, Blake."
