It's about time I wrote a lighthearted fic/one-shot, isn't it?

He knows she said she didn't need one. He knows she said she didn't want one. He knows she said that she wasn't a traditional kind of girl.

"Screw it," Robert said aloud, not worrying if Andy would hear him since she was in the shower.

She deserves the world. She deserves to have a reminder of how much he loves her with her at all times.

Robert heard the shower turn off and got off the bed, ring box in hand. Robert sat on Andy's side of the bed since it was closer to the bathroom. His leg was bouncing up and down. He knew that he and Andy were already married, but he wanted to do this for her.

"Robert?" Andy asked, coming out of the bathroom, drying her hair with a towel, dressed in only a bra and underwear. Robert was momentarily stunned until Andy cleared her throat. "Robert. Are you okay?" Andy asked, standing in front of him.

Robert shook himself out of drooling over his wife and wrapped an arm around Andy's back, pulling her closer to him. He oh so badly wanted to pin her down on the bed, take off the underwear and bra and make love to her, but he knew that she just had a shower, that they needed to head to work soon and he wanted to do this ring proposal for her before shift.

"Yeah, I'm okay." Robert stood up, sat Andy down and got down on one knee. "I know we're already married. I know we've said our vows. I know we said our "I do's" and that we keep proving our love for each other every day but there's something missing and I'd really like to give it to you." Robert paused and pulled the ring box from his pocket. "Andy..." Before Robert could continue Andy jumped up.

"Holy shit. Robert hang on. Please hang on." Andy rushed to her bedside table and pulled out a box.

"No way." Robert breathed out when Andy opened the box.

Andy and Robert looked at each other and burst out laughing.

"I love you, Andy. I'd really like for you to wear this ring. It was my mother's and I know she would be proud to have you wear it." Robert cupped Andy's cheek. "Andrea Herrera, will you do me the honour of wearing my mother's ring?"

Andy nodded and Robert slid the ring on. It fits perfectly.

"Robert Sullivan." Andy started, trying to keep her tears at bay. "As you said, since getting married and saying our vows we have done nothing but keep them. As you felt I deserve a ring I feel the same about you." Andy smiled and wiped away a tear that had fallen from Robert's eye and made it's way down his cheek. He kissed her forehead. "Robert, I know you haven't had an easy life. I know I haven't had an easy life. But I would be so happy if you would do me the honour of wearing this wedding band. I don't want to be married with no ring anymore. We both deserve to showcase to the world that we're together." Andy finished and Robert pulled her into a bruising kiss that lasted until they had to pull back to catch their breath. "Is that a yes?" Andy asked, laughing.

"Yes. Of course, Andy. Of course, I'll wear it." Andy smiled and slipped the ring onto Robert's finger. "It's beautiful, Andy." Robert pulled Andy into another kiss. "Thank you so much, Andy. I don't know where I would be in my life without you in it."

Andy felt tears welling up and she didn't stop them from falling. "You are my safe place Robert. From the moment we became friends I knew that I would always be safe with you. I love you so fucking much, Robert." Andy swore and Robert chuckled.

"I love you so fucking much too, Andy."
