We've Got Your Back - Part One

Andy was dating a new guy, and he was abusing her. He came to the station one day and began to fight with Andy.
Andy was in her office, working on her laptop, sending an email when she heard a knock on her door. She looked up and called for whoever it was the come in. When Andy saw her boyfriend she had mixed emotions, and her mind went back to what happened last night.
Andy was in the kitchen, making some pasta when she felt arms wrap around her. She flinched but then smiled and turned around to face her boyfriend.
"Hey, baby." Andy stood on her tippy toes and went to kiss him. She thought it would be a short kiss, but Adam wrapped a hand around Andy's back and held the back of her neck, pulling her closer to him. Andy tried to pull away but was trapped. "Adam, Adam, come on, stop." Andy tried but Adam just continued to hold her and kiss her. He switched off the stove and pulled Andy towards the bedroom. "Adam. Stop. Please," Andy begged, fear creeping into her.
Adam huffed and pushed Andy away from him. He went into their bedroom while Andy stood frozen against the wall, terrified that what happened with Jeremy was close to happening again.
Andy stood up and walked out from behind the desk. Andy walked up to Adam and kissed him.
"What are you doing here?" Andy asked, smiling.
"I was on a lunch break picking up food for the law firm when I thought I would swing by to see my girl," Adam told her with a smile. Andy smiled back, wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. Adam wrapped an arm around her waist and held her close to him. Andy tried to pull back but once again he had her trapped. He walked them towards the bunk, closed the door and Andy felt her heart beating faster. Adam shoved Andy onto the bed and got on top of her.
"Adam, I have work to do. I don't have time for this." Andy tried to tell him, but he wasn't listening. He just continued to kiss her neck. Andy squirmed and tried to push him off of him.
"What the hell is your problem, Andy? I know you've had sex with other men in this bunk," Adam said, anger clear on her face.
"That was before I became captain, Adam," Andy told him. "I need to get back to work." Andy tried to tell him, but Adam ignored her and began to take off her uniform. He started with her button-up top and made quick work to get her t-shirt off. Andy tried to push Adam away, but he just held her arms down tighter and Andy whimpered. Pain ran through her arms. "Adam, you need to let go!" Andy pushed Adam off of her, her self-defence training finally kicking in. Andy rushed past Adam, opened the door and went into the office. Adam came in after putting his shirt back on and pinned Andy against the wall.
"Why are you being such a bitch?" Adam asked and Andy paled, remembering those were Jeremy's words when he didn't get his way. Adam's face was clouded with anger. He looked into Andy's eyes, ignoring the fear in them, he kissed her neck again and Andy whimpered when he bit her neck.
"Adam get off!" Andy shouted and Adam pulled back and looked at Andy for a few seconds before punching her stomach. "Adam, stop!" Adam didn't listen as he continued to punch her stomach and when Andy couldn't take the pain anymore she slid to the ground. Adam kicked her a few times and then got on top of her. He kissed her neck, sucking, leaving a mark before moving down to her chest. He kissed down her chest and rubbed his hands over her abs. He was taking her belt off when Andy pushed through the pain and pushed him off of her. "Damn it, Adam! I said stop! Please just fucking listen to me!" Andy yelled, catching the attention of Maya and Travis who were in reception. They frowned and walked closer to their captain's office.
"Why won't you just have sex with me? Is it because of that ugly ass scar on your neck?" Adam asked, yelling.
"I'm at work, Adam! I need to do my job!" Andy yelled, trying to ignore the insult he threw at her. He knew how insecure she was about her scars from the wildfire. Maya frowned while Travis looked worried.
Maya knocked on the door and her frown deepened when she didn't hear anything. "Andy, you in there?"
"Yeah, Bishop. Just a little busy right now." Andy called through the door.
It was silent in and outside of the office when Maya heard a slap. She tried to open the door but found it locked. She rushed to the drawer she knew had a spare key to the office and rushed in. She walked in to see her best friend with bruises forming on her stomach and a hickey on her neck and she watched as Adam slapped Andy. Her eyes widened and watched Travis go over, punch Adam in the face and then tackle him.
"Bishop, Call 911," Travis ordered, and Maya nodded while still focusing on her friend. She saw blood on Andy's lip and assumed that happened when Adam slapped her. She dialled 911 and watched Andy wrap her arms around her stomach and slide down to the floor. She quickly let the dispatcher know what was going on, asked for female cops and then walked over to Andy.
"Andy, can you look at me?" Maya asked, crouching down in front of her best friend. Andy shook her head. She was ashamed and didn't want to talk to anyone right now. "Andy, I need to check you out, okay?" Maya tried but Andy just shook her head faster. Maya was about to try one more time when there was a soft knock at the door. Andy looked up, saw the cops and scrambled up off the floor and away from them. Maya motioned for the officers to stop where they were and walked closer to Andy. "Andy, I know you don't want to do this, but..." Before Maya could continue, Andy collapsed, and Maya caught her in her arms while the cops took Adam out of the office. "Trav, grab a gurney," Maya ordered.
Maya gently put Andy on the floor. Maya looked over her friend and was growing concerned at the bruising that was forming on her stomach and when Maya saw the bruises forming on her arms and her heart broke. Maya tried to keep her emotions under control when Travis rushed into the room with Vic.
"I figured it would be better if she didn't have a man around her right now. I called ahead to Grey-Sloan. Carina, Meredith and Maggie are going to meet her." Travis told her and left Vic and Maya to tend to Andy. He looked on sadly and watched them work on Andy, make sure she was stable, rush to the aid car and out of the station. Just as they left Chief Ross came into the station.
"Montgomery? Where's Herrera?" Travis gulped. "Travis?"
"She's on her way to the hospital right now," Travis said and watched Ross' expression turn to surprise. "She's been dating this new guy for about a month now and he just, well I'm not sure what happened, but she was beaten pretty badly and collapsed." Travis saw Ross' expression harden.
"Montgomery, call Ruiz, and another sub. Tell Sullivan he's in charge for the time being." Travis nodded and watched Ross leave.
