The days after were a blur, Marko spent his days locked in our room whilst I was downstairs trying to reason with my sister on the phone. She was adamant that Marko had done something and that I needed to break up with him. I have to admit, I felt so much fear and guilt. Marko was exhausted, he had to disable all of his social media accounts and had to cancel his upcoming gig in Germany because he couldn't handle it anymore. It was scaring more than I'd like to admit and I didn't really know what was going to happen with us. We had just started to get back on track and then this happens, it's frustrating and I just didn't know what to do anymore. It was affecting me too, I was advised by Marko's manager to shut down my social media accounts whilst everything died down and I was so close to doing it. If it wasn't people bombarding me with messages about how I'm the other woman, it was people asking me who the other woman was and it was exhausting and I was losing hope that this would just die down.

''Ev?'' I heard a groggy voice from upstairs and I went to investigate. ''You okay Marko?'' I asked as I walked upstairs and I went into our bedroom and he was cuddling my body pillow, watching The Office on our tv. I looked at him and it looked like he'd been crying. ''Darling? What's happened?'' I asked as I sat down next to him, placing my hand on his back attempting to provide some kind of comfort. ''Please, please take down your social media accounts? Just for now?'' He pleaded, I grabbed his phone which he was holding and sighed when I seen some of the headlines about me. ''Sweetheart, I couldn't give a shit about these.'' I lied and he sat up. ''Eva, please. This isn't going to just go away.'' I shook my head. ''Hiding from it means the press win, I won't let that happen.'' I replied and a tear rolled down his face. ''It's killing me seeing what they're saying about you Ev, it's killing me hearing you argue with your sister every day. Something has to be done, I need it to stop, we need it to stop.'' He admitted and he broke down in my arms. I had never seen him like this and it was killing me to see him like this.

I pulled into the driveway after going to get me and Marko takeout, and my sister's car was parked there and I groaned. Could she not leave us alone? I was then distracted by a notifcation on my phone. It was an instagram message from someone called Lucija Kovačić. I frowned with confusion, that was Marko's ex girlfriend who had apparently spread this bullshit rumour in the first place. However, when I opened the message it told a completely different story.

Lucija.Kova: Hey, you don't know me but I've seen all the press surrounding Marko lately and now I'm being dragged into this. I have no reason to have spread this rumour as me and Marko ended on pretty good terms, just wanted to clear things up! Hope you're both well.

She seemed nice enough, but I didn't want to just take her word for it. I ignored it for now, and got out of the car with the food. I walked up to the door and was about to open it when Ella opened it for me and ushered me in with a plastic grin on her face. ''Ella, what's going on?'' I said as she took the food off of me and took it into the kitchen, leaving me confused in the lobby. ''You have to break up with Marko.'' I sighed went into the living room. ''I'm not having this argument again Ella. Why are you so adamant this time?'' I questioned and she pulled out her phone and started texting someone. Rude. ''Earth to Ella?'' I said and she looked up and scoffed. ''Have you seen him lately? You're going through what can only be described as cyber bullying and he's sat in your room crying all day.'' I scowled at her. ''What the fuck Ella? This is ruining his life and career much more than mine, why are you so obsessed with this idea?'' I snapped and I heard the door to my room open and close. Great. Recently, Marko had been in no mood at all for mine and Ella's arguing over the phone and now we were arguing downstairs we were both bound to get an earful.

''Ella, get the fuck out of my house. Stop trying to tell Ev what she can and can't do because I'm sick of it, she's sick of it. You're a fucking nuisance around here.'' Marko said before going into the kitchen. ''Ella you should go.'' She shook her head. ''This was my house before his, he has no authority.'' I rolled my eyes and opened the door. ''Actually, this house has only ever had my name on it, you didn't pay rent or nothin, so no it wasn't.'' Ella gasped and stared at me. ''You're really going to turn on your own sister?'' She asked and I thought about it for a second, and then nodded. ''You had no problem fucking up my life with that bet, so yeah I am.'' I replied as she walked out of the door and I slammed the door in her face. I instantly started crying and Marko rushed into the lobby and sighed. ''Come here darling, it's okay.'' He said as he pulled me into a hug and we sat on the stairs. ''I just don't get why she's being like this...'' I paused and looked at him. ''Have I done something to her?'' He shook his head. ''No baby, you haven't.'' He reassured and I sank into the hug and he kissed my head.

''I'll go get you some water, go into the living room and put netflix on.'' He wiped a tear from my cheek and kissed my forehead before going into the kitchen and I went into the living room. I put the tv on but I could've swore I heard a voice outside before the tv even loaded. I looked out of the blinds and seen Ella on the phone to someone. I snook past Marko in the kitchen and out of the back door. I went over to the gate next to where she was stood. ''It's just not working Oscar, we need something more believable.'' I frowned and started to play with a strand of hair in order to calm my nerves. ''I mean, that could work? It'll certainly make them lose trust.'' My heart sank. My sister was the one behind all of this? But why? ''Jesus Oscar calm down, we had our deal, you can win Eva back and I'll make a move on Marko once they're done!'' She raised her voice and then hung up. I slid down the wall and onto the floor and couldn't stop replaying that sentence in my mind.

You can win Eva back and I'll make a move on Marko once they're done.
