A blonde haired girl tapped her foot on the ground, staring through the window of a small corner store. The store within Konoha was quite famous for their magazines, novels and many more. One book in particular that seemed to nearly sell out was a familiar orange cover. An orange cover that Kazumi had seen her current sensei read.
It wasn't just her sensei, Kakashi, who read such books, but her uncle, Sanjiro, as well. Curiosity seemed to always kill the cat when it came down to her inquiries.
Come Come Paradise...
She repeated the title of the specific orange book inside of her head over and over. Eventually, she stopped tapping her foot, and crossed her arms over her chest. A single second went by before the blonde Kumo was last seen standing idling by outside of the building.
As she opened the doors and entered, vibrant colours and the faint smell of smoke rose to her senses. The owner hadn't paid attention to her, staring deep into a magazine as he leaned against the counter.
Where could it be? I heard Uncle's been trying to get a latest copy...
She frowned, wandering around the isle of papers. She'd pass many until coming across an entire shelf dedicated to the trilogy of it. This made her raise a brow.
"Ho? I remember scavenging around these sections when I was a naughty kid..." A deep voice appeared, making her attention snap to him.
It was a random middle aged man. He had no shinobi attire. Therefore, the male looked like a squid in her imagination.
"I'll give you a recommendation... But, here's a tip!" He said, pushing an orange book into her view, "Place it in between two random normal books. The owner hardly checks when it's in stacks, he's totally lazy!" Without her responding, he forcefully placed the book into her hold with a large grin, "Ah... youth! Those were the days..." He sighed dreamily before giving her shoulder a pat to then walk further down the aisle.
Kazumi hardly processed any of the interaction that just occurred since her eyes were focused on the orange novel in her grasp.
It's exactly what I was looking for...
She frowned deeper, feeling an odd chill come over her.
Hmph! No matter, I'll take a peek.
Just as she went to open the book, a tall figure appeared in front of her. With his arms crossed, the store owner gave her an unamused expression.
"Hey, kid, what do you think you're doing in the adult section?" He asked, trying to intimidate her.
It wasn't working, "... I'm a potential customer? And who're you calling a kid? I'm a shinobi!" She sneered, shutting the novel closed in her hand.
"Yeah, yeah, what's new?" He scoffed, snatching the book from her grasp, "Get out of here, boy!"
In seconds, Kazumi found herself disheveled, the glass door slamming shut behind her. She didn't even care about the book anymore, but the fact that the man had assumed she was as a male. Knowing the intentions of the filthy book, Kakashi and her uncle were just as she thought: perverted men.
