Kazumi stood outside the gate's to the inner konohagakure village. Their goal was to stop off at the red light district somewhere in Hima, relatively close to the inner streets of the hidden village. Jiraiya stood near Kazumi, wondering how much longer they would have to wait for Naruto.
I can't believe this guy got signed permission to take me out...
The young Kumo crossed her arms, wearing her worn backpack on her shoulder. It had all the necessities she'd need for a short trip.
"Is that brat always late like this?" Jiraiya pouted his lips out, squinting when noticing Naruto's faint figure struggling to run towards them in the distance.
"Not as worse as our sensei." Kazumi replied.
Naruto panted, dragging a ridiculously large sack. If he weren't wearing orange, but red, he'd look like a young Santa Claus.
"Let's go! I made it..." He trailed off, flinching in shock at her laidback appearance, "What the hell?! How did you make it before me? I didn't even see you in my apartment!!" He yelled, taken aback.
She scratched her ear, smirking, "Six ramens... wow..."
Irked, he balled his fist, "Damn it!! My paychecks depends on our missions now!" He whined, his statement coming out quite depressing.
"Are you really serious about this? You're bringing everything you have... Aren't we just going for a trip?" Jiraiya crossed his arms like Kazumi, merely watching the blonde continue to struggle.
"Unnnhh!!! Actually! I take back it back!! I was just joking, Kaz — Uhhnnn!!!" He strained, pulling the overly heavy bag.
Kazumi sighed, walking over to Naruto as she placed her hand on his shoulder to stop him. Naruto whipped his head to her confused.
"I'm calling the bet off. I also have extra stuff with me anyway." She pointed over her back towards the backpack, "You don't need that." She gave him a look.
Naruto's distress had completely disappeared as he grinned, "Okay! But... we're not sharing toothbrushes or anything... are we? —"
Kazumi instantly cut him off with a pained grimace, "Of course not! I have left over yen! I'll buy you the necessities."
Jiraiya laughed, "I like you!" He complimented, but it felt far from that.
Un-like me!
The blonde girl forced a smile, beginning to have second thoughts as the three started walking away from the gates. After traveling through a forest for a while, they went through a certain clearing. It was a long walkway road. Some passerby were hikers or normal people taking a stroll. The day felt calm, and Kazumi was at ease.
She definitely needed as much fresh air as she could. Her skin was still pale, but staying out in the blazing sun made her feel healed inside.
"Hey, hey!! Pervy-Sage, what sort of jutsu are you going to teach me this time?" Naruto asked, gleeful.
Kazumi tilted her head to the two males. She recalled Naruto's exceeding performance during the chuunin exams, causing her to gaze at Jiraiya.
"This is the guy who trained you?" Kazumi inquired, finally interested in Jiraiya's existence.
Jiraiya purposely posed, trying to act natural. But, his goofiness made it hard for her to keep a serious impression of him. She could see the faint twitch in his lips at her reference to him being 'this guy', as opposed to 'legendary sennin' he claimed to be. 'Pervy-sage' did not help his identity in the slightest.
