Kazumi leaned against the railing, tired. She had been up all night training. It wasn't any better when having an old man push herself to her limits; especially when her uncle was eager to make Kazumi a chuunin.

Sakura copied Kazumi's actions, standing beside her on the bridge. The four genin's were impatiently waiting for their late sensei, and finally, Sakura let out a heavy sigh before breaking the silence.

"HEY!! HEY!! HEY!!! HOW CAN THIS BE ALLOWED?" She spun around with clenched fists, "WHY DOES THAT PERSON ASK US TO MEET AND THEN MAKE US WAIT?!!"

Kazumi leaned her head away, squinting from her loud pitch. Sasuke had easily ignored them all.

Naruto had punched his fist up, "YEAH!! YEAH! SAKURA-CHAN IS RIGHT!!!"

Sakura then continued, "WHAT ABOUT THE FEELINGS OF A YOUNG GIRL WHO OVERSLEPT AND DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO BLOW DRY HER HAIR!!"

Kazumi glanced at the lower back part of Sakura's damp hair, smiling in amusement. Given how the blonde girl had been up all night training, she appeared an hour later than the three of them.

They should've known sensei by now...

Naruto added on, "YEAH! YEAH!! I OVERSLEPT, TOO! SO, I DIDN'T WASH MY FACE OR BRUSH MY TEETH!"

Instantly, Kazumi's smile dropped. Sakura had grimaced and Sasuke turned his head away, irked.

"That's... nasty..." Sakura's pitch lowered.

Naruto sheepishly giggled in response to their reactions.

"Morning people!!!"

Kakashi's voice made the four of them look up, glaring at the jounin. Kakashi was crouched at the top of a lamppost, waving down as he gave another one of his infamous excuses.

"YEAH RIGHT!! LIAR!"
—"APOLOGISE!" Sakura and Naruto screamed up at him, pointing to Kakashi in sync.

Kakashi reappeared on the ground, in front of them, with an unbothered expression, "This is sudden, but... I've nominated you guys for the chuunin selection exam."

About time...

Kazumi sighed, frowning. When Sanjiro had told her about the exams, she had been waiting for the nomination for a while now. Coincidentally, Kakashi just happened to finally announce it the day after Team Seven's encounter with the Sand ninjas.

"What did you say?!" Sakura screeched.

"You think this makes up for —!!"

"Here are your applications." Kakashi swiftly cut Naruto off, thrusting the four papers out for his genin's to take.

As soon as they all took their forms, Naruto pounced on Kakashi like a dog, happily hugging him.

"Kakashi-sensei!! I love you!!!" He was beaming like a normal child, clutching tightly onto the awkward jounin.

Kazumi lightly chuckled to herself at the scene whilst Sasuke and Sakura deadpanned.

Kakashi stiffly spun around, unsure of how to take the hug from Naruto until the Uzumaki finally jumped off, giggling down at his application form.
