Kazumi's thoughts were elsewhere when mindlessly tracking down the footprints left by her team. She stabbed each tree whenever she went in circles, pointing to a new direction.
My chest hurts...
Kazumi looked over her shoulder, the wounds acting up as her gaze focused on the explosions and the sight of large summons surrounding the barrier.
She felt split into two. One part of herself wanted to find her uncle whilst the other felt the need to help her team. Profusely shaking the nerves away, she came to a clearing where she could see the smoke and sand.
Abruptly stopping on a branch, she sealed her chakra. In the distance, Gaara had a hand to his head, groaning in pain as if he was stuck in internal misery. His other arm was outgrown into complete sand, pinning Sakura's unconscious body to a tree.
As Naruto attempted to jump and attack, the sand from Gaara's gourd smacked him away like a mere fleabag. Sasuke's figure was lying against a branch, familiar markings covering one side of his body.
It really is a good thing I came back!
She clenched the trunk of the tree, narrowing her eyes at the dangerous situation. As she physically and mentally prepared herself to drain all that's left of her chakra, her fingers pressed to her throat. She could feel the strength of the seal against her throat weaken then revert back to stability.
Will Uncle be alright...?
Shaking her head one last time, she had to trust her uncle's abilities. Giving it her all for the sake of her village was a necessity as a Leaf shinobi.
Please give me strength...
An image of Sanjiro and all she had been taught came as fast as it went... Kazumi then reluctantly let her fingers go from her throat, forming a sign in front of her instead. Her eyes faded to grey, and her presence completely disappeared.
She took off from the branch, infusing her chakra against a tree, straight above Sakura's captured state. Gaara's manic eyes snapped towards Kazumi, sending a surprised shiver down her spine.
Naruto had bellowed for Gaara to focus, though stopped when noticing his random frustration.
"I see you!" Gaara gritted, his voice nearly disorientated, "But I can't?!" His head snapped to his sides, seeing her in his peripheral vision even though she was straight ahead of his gaze.
Naruto's brows furrowed, though after painfully long seconds, it clicked in piece. This caused him to beam, understanding that Kazumi was finally here.
Kazumi had pursed her lips, watching Gaara's confliction. It was similar to Kakashi's from the bell test. It seemed that strong levelled people could manage to sense her, however only in their peripheral view.
His sand stubbornly smacked all around his sides, becoming more frustrated. Each time his eyes fell to her invisible ones, she'd reappear at all sides of him like an annoying buzzing bee.
This caused trees to break down and nearly slash at Kazumi, who had instantly shifted away from the sudden attacks.
Seeing as how she kept him occupied, Naruto summoned a frog. His sudden loudness and bickering with a tiny frog diverted Gaara's attention away for a split second before forcing himself to focus back on Kazumi once she had begun to throw tools at him.
The tools were infused with silence, and even the penetrating wind could not create sound by the fast-moving shurikens and kunai's. With sight alone, Gaara deflected all that appeared.
