Aragorn POV:
We soon moved on to the south and I was watching Boromir teaching the hobbits how to fight. I was smoking my pipe while giving advise to Merry and Pippin.
"Move you feet," I advised. Boromir nicked Pippins hand accidentally. "For the Shire!" they said and tackled Boromir down to the ground.
"Gentlemen." I said though I was smiling. Legolas runs in front of me and leaps onto a rock observing our surroundings.
"Legolas, look." Willow said pointing to a black swarm.
"It nothing, just a wisp of cloud." Gimli stated. "It is moving fast, against the wind." Boromir said.
"CREBAIN OF DUNLAND!" Legolas shouted. "Hide!" I yelled. Willow was the first one hidden, she had experience with this, it looked like.
"Strider!" Sam whispered. Quickly, I pulled Frodo and Sam aside as the birds flew by. Legolas was hiding under a bush with Willow (it didn't surprise me much.), Boromir was hidden against a boulder with Merry and Pippin and Gandalf...was hidden well, I could not see him.
"Spies of Saruman." Willow said emotionless. We then agreed to go through the mountain pass. I looked at Willow who was silent, as always, looked down at her feet, making sure her hood covered her eyes. Legolas and Boromir were staring at her curiously.
3rd Person POV:
Everyone started trudging through the snow except for Willow and Legolas. Gimli huffed as he slipped on a piece of ice.
"Are you an elf, lass?" Gimli asked Willow. She shook her head "no". "Well if you aren't an elf you gotta be something magical. Not all of us are so light of weight." Gimli said narrowing his eyes at Legolas. Legolas saw this action of his rival and just rolled his eyes.
"I am-" before Willow could finish a snowball smacked the side of Gimli's face. The angry dwarf whipped his head around only to find Pippin holding a cluster of snowballs while Merry laughed wildly.
"Hobbits!" Then a snowball fight broke out along the group. The only ones who weren't participating were Legolas, Aragorn, Gandalf, and - of course, Willow. "Gentlemen." Gandalf said sternly. Then - almost as if it was in slow motion - Pippin smacked a snowball in Willow's face. Everyone stopped what they were doing and were silent, Pippin turning bright red. But Willow just whipped it off, with no show of anger of goofiness. She was just blank. Pippin sighed but then gasped. It was then he saw it. It was only Pippin who saw Willow's eyes. They were gray and cloudy. He saw all the pain she had been just from her eyes. Willow stood their looking at Pippin, then turned away and started jogging up the mountain."What did you see Pippin?" Merry asked. Pippin looked like he had just seen a ghost. The rest of the fellowship stayed behind to make sure the little hobbit was alright. "I saw....Willow's face!" he said. The company were bewildered.
"What?" Aragorn said. " They were grey and stormy, like a storm swept the color away. In her eyes, I saw a goddess - daughter of a valar! Willow had a crown of flowers lade on top of her head, with a wavy dress and animals surrounded her." Boromir's eyes soften. Gandalf just nodded. Merry patted his friend's back. The fellowship had so many questions for Willow, that she would not answer. Suddenly, Frodo fell onto his back tumbling down until Aragorn caught him. But something was missing. Willow glanced over at Boromir and felt pity for the man. Since Willow was at the front of the company she could not hear what Boromir was murmuring.
"Boromir! Give the ring to Frodo." Aragorn said very sternly. Boromir took his eyes off the ring and gave it to Frodo.
"Forgive me. I care not." he said ruffling the poor hobbit's head. Frodo looked up at Boromir nervously as the man cocked his smile.
"Come Boromir." Willow said. He looked up at the warrior with a questioning look on his face but followed Willow's order.
It was soon getting dark and the harsh winds picked up. Willow and Legolas were fine, though Willow was showing her expressions, Legolas could see her lip turn blue and her teeth chattering with every step they took. The rest of the fellowship were huddled up together, trying to shelter out the cold. Legolas walked to the ledge of the cliff listening, observantly.
"There is a fell voice in the air!" he shouted over the wind with his smooth voice. "It is Saruman, he is trying to bring down the mountain!" Gandalf started enchanting words that did not work against the white wizard's magic.
"Gandalf! We must turn back!"
"No!" Gandalf shouted. Suddenly, a mound of snow and ice crashed onto the fellowship. Willow saw Legolas about to get knocked off the bottomless cliff. She pushed him out of the way just in time...
