The fellowship had been walking for a while when Gandalf stopped at two tunnels. He stood puzzling, figuring out which way to go. It has definitely not Gandalf's best day.
"Are we lost?" Pippin asked. Gandalf started yelling at Pippin, which Willow blocked out. It was her time to rest and she took it. Willow normally never needed rest, but lately she had been feeling more tired than usual. She sat down, leaning against a rock and pulled her hood all the way down to her top lip, making sure no one could see her grey eyes. Willow then fell sleep but could still hear everything that was going on around her. Aragorn sat on a rock across from her, studying Willow silently. Legolas noticed Aragorn and walked (gracefully) over to him, barely making any noise.
"She is quite mysterious, isn't she." Aragorn said, not taking his eyes off the hooded women. Legolas nodded in agreement.
"Aye, that she is." he said in return. Boromir joined in the conversation and the three companions talked on and on.
"Interesting. Sometimes I wonder what is behind that hood. I urge to pull it down, revealing the women under it." Boromir stated almost in a whisper. Willow's stomach did a flipped. Yes of course, she was listening and was aware of the conversation between the three. Willow knew she had to be cautious around Boromir, making sure her face was covered at all times. Willow could feel his eyes resting on her, and it made her feel uneasy.
"It's this way!" Gandalf said. Merry smiled. "He's remembered!" Gandalf shook his head. "No, but the air does not seem so foul this way. When in doubt, Merrydoc, follow your nose."
Legolas went over to wake Willow but before he could, she stood up and headed towards Gandalf. Questions filled his mind. Has she been awake this whole time? Did she hear their conversation? They all followed Gandalf and apparently Gollum was following them.
The day just keeps getting better and better! thought Willow sarcastically, shaking her head. The fellowship entered a chamber with a casket. Gimli runs in fast.
"Gimli!"
Gimli knelt down by the casket. He looked like he was about to cry. Willow put her hand on her shoulder and whispered something in his ear. Gimli looked up at her in surprise, then noticing her grey eyes. He gasped at the sight. Pippin really did tell the truth. She walked over towards where Gandalf stood. A sudden noise rings out making the fellowship turn their heads to find Pippin looking rather embarrassed.
"Fool of a Took!" Gandalf shouted at the small hobbit. "Throw yourself in there next time and rid us of your stupidity!" he said gruffly. Then, loud drums shook the cave walls.
"Orcs!" Legolas yells drawing his bow and arrow.
"Ah, let them come! There is only one dwarf who still stands in Moria." Gimli said jumping onto the casket. Everyone draws their weapons, Willow's sword in her hand. A cave troll burst through the doors surprising everyone.
"They have a cave troll?!"
Willow started slashing orcs and goblins as much as she could. Blue blood stained her clothes, though her hair stayed the same. Legolas jumps onto the cave trolls back, as the troll madly swings his body.
"Strider!" Sam called out. Willow payed no attention to Sam and beheaded a goblin. It's blood gushed out getting some on her hood. Fighting came naturally to Willow and she showed no pity to the ones she kills. Legolas luckily kills the cave troll and most of the orcs have either ran in fear or been killed. It came to Willow's attention that Frodo was wounded painfully. He had been stabbed with the spear. Aragorn's eyes widened.
"Mithril." He said in shock. "Seems this hobbit is full of surprises," Gandalf said almost proud. "To the bridge of Khazad-dum!"
The fellowship kept running as more drums sounded. Orcs started surrounding them in a circle, each one ready to pounce.
"What is this new devilry?" Boromir asked as a roar and flames came. The orcs all fled in terror.
"The balrog." Gandalf said. Oh no...
"Run, now!" Willow said taking the lead. Boromir went in front of her and almost tipped of the edge of the bridge until Legolas caught him. Legolas gracefully jumped across the bridge to the other side and motioned for the others. One by one the jumped.
"Not the beard!" as Gimli almost toppled over down before Legolas caught him by the beard. All was left was Frodo, Aragorn, and Willow.
"Come on." Legolas said. Then the bridge the three were standing on tipped. Aragorn clutched Frodo and Willow steady herself. They then jumped. Willow jumped and felt her hands land on Legolas's chest. He blushed then they started running again. Gandalf stayed behind.
"You shall not pass!" Gandalf shouted as the Balrog approached him. Frodo screamed as Boromir held on to him tightly. The something happened that Willow could not even imagine. She did not even get to say goodbye.
