Chapter 8 You Shall Not Pass

"You shall not pass!" The Balrog arose from the flames. "Gandalf!" screamed Frodo, who was being held back by Boromir. Willow threw one of her daggers into an orc's head. Legolas kept shooting arrows, throwing orc's down.

"Go back to the shadows." Gandalf said. He lifted his sword and staff up above his head.

"YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" Gandalf brought his sword and staff down making the Balrog crumble down into the canyon below, while destroying the staff. He started walking to the group when the fire whip raps around his foot pulling him down to the edge. He struggled on the edge of the cliff, giving up all hope.

"Fly you fools!" Then the unbelievable happened. Gandalf fell. He fell down, down, down.

"No!!" Frodo screamed as Boromir pulled him back.

No, no, no, no!

"Aragorn, we have to go!" Willow yelled at him. They dragged the four hobbits along and raced outside, into the shining day light.

Sam sat down crying, while Legolas stood dumbfounded. Willow did not know what she was feeling. Fear? Sadness? Guilt? She did not know, but her step-in father was gone, forever.

"Legolas, Willow, get them up." Aragorn commanded.

"Give them a moment for pity's sake!" Boromir snapped.

"By night fall, these hills will be swarming with orcs! Legolas, Willow, get them up." He yelled back.

"Frodo!" Frodo was staring off into the distance, still proceeding Gandalf's death. Aragorn walked besides him, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Stay strong Pippin." Willow said emotionless. "Doesn't his death effect you Willow?" Pippin asked. Willow went silent as Merry looked at them.

"I have been through too many deaths for it to effect me." she said blankly, leaving to talk to Aragorn. They set off to Lothlórien, a place Willow hasn't been for ages. It was soon going to be her time to show everyone the beautiful goddess she is...
