The whole rest of the day, Willow avoided the fellowship. She gathered her weapons in the armory, focused on her daggers. Suddenly, she felt a tap on her shoulder. It was Mala.
"Mala, what are you doing? You are supposed to be gathering in the caves with the other women and children." Elliastral sighed. Mala smiled.
"I know, Momma said I could say hi!" Mala giggle. Then, Legolas walked to Willow.
"Can we talk?" he asked. He touched her arm. Mala looked between the two, her eyes growing big.
"Is he your boyfriend?" she asked shocking both Elliastral and Legolas.
"W-what?! No! I mean, I don-" Legolas turned a shade of pink, along with the embarrassed maia.
This is a new feeling. she thought. Mala came running over.
"Mala! I told you could say 'hi, not start a whole conversation!" her mother said. Mala and her mother left them and walked down to the caves, Mala pouting.
"I better go-"
"No, Willow. Please, we need to talk." Legolas said grabbing her arm. Willow sighed.
"Come with me." Legolas pulled her over to where Aragorn and Gimli stood.
They know about it too?
"Why did you try to kill yourself, lass?" Gimli asked, Aragorn crossed her arms. Those words hit Elliastral in the chest.
"Because I am sick living! I am sick of my existenst! No one wants me here, Daystar is gone. My best friend, is dead. I am done with Sauron, I am done with pain. I am done being told that I AM NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!" tears swelled into Willow's eyes.
I hate this feeling. I hate it. she thought miserably.
"I am sick and tried of living in Middle Earth. I want to be done with the pain, the sadness, and the fear. I want to be done." she said, calming done. Everyone in the room was staring at the warrior. Elliastral walked away from the three men, staring at her with grief.
"You know you can't just give-up?" Legolas told her when they were far away from the Rohan people.
"What else is there to do? No one wants me here, anyway." Willow said.
"I do, Ellie."
Elliastral's eye's widen. "What did you call me?" she asked.
"Uh, Ellie-but if you don't like it I can-"
Willow smiled.
"No, no, I like it."
Legolas smiled then said: "We can make this through together."
"Yes, Legolas. We can."
With that, the two embraced in a loving hug.
