Willow toppled over the side of the cliff, clinging to the edge. Her hands started to bleed and sweat filled her covered forehead. Again and again, Willow tried pulling herself up but the stone kept crumbling every time she tried. Finally, Willow gave up.
"Do you see her?"
"Willow!"
Willow wanted to call out but her throat was so dry that nothing came out. A head came into view. It was...Boromir?
"Gandalf! I found her!" He shouted. Legolas ran over and both of them pulled her up. Willow dusted herself off with a huff.
"Are you alright?" Legolas asked, obviously concerned. A nod came from the hooded women.
They then decide to go through the Mines of Moria. Willow was not to thrilled about it because she has had dealings with the...well, lets just say monster. Willow gulped, not because she was scared, but because of how dry her mouth was. Of course, she had forgoten water.
I can't ask anyone for water. It would make me look foolish and in need of their help which is one thing I don't need. Willow thought.
How can I trust them anyway. If I open myself up to them, it could cause me trouble and put others at risk. I won't let myself fall down that trap again...after what happened with Sauron. But I can not die of thirst, that would also be foolish.
Willow looked over at the black lake where Pippin sat. Her mouth started to water, but she had to resist. Besides, the lake was dangerous and full of evil.
"Do not disturber the water." Aragorn said to Pippin, who through a pebble into the dark lagoon. Willow decided it was not worth her time to ask for water. She had survived without food before, so how would water be any different? The fellowship needed as much water as they could get and she wasn't comfortable asking them anyway.
"Whats the elvish word for friend?" asked Frodo, "Mellon." The fellowship entered the dark mine. A strange feeling crept onto Willow. One she has not felt in centuries. Willow felt like she was being closed in again. All of the horrible memories started entering her mind, one by one. The feeling of when Sauron locked her in the cage, making all her friends die right in front of her eyes. The animals she loved turn on her. The feeling of stupidity and guilt came back, making her stomach turn. The person Sauron made out of her. The person she was today.
"This is no mine. It's a tomb." Boromir stated.
"Goblins!" Legolas said picking up an arrow. The walls felt like the were closing in on Willow but she had to be strong. She had to prove to everyone that women are stronger than men and can achieve anything. She had to prove to herself that she was not useless.
"Strider!" Sam called. Frodo had been picked up by a eight legged monster. Willow turned around quickly, drawing her sword. She ran out of the mine and cut off it's tentacle. Aragorn fought besides her. Thankfully, Frodo is released from the Watcher.
"Into the mines!" Gandalf cries. They all run into the mines.
"Legolas!" Willow calls as he shoots one more arrow, making his way into the mine. Suddenly, the watcher slams himself into the walls, trapping the company inside.
Get over it Willow! Step up your game, know one must no the past. Willow thought.
No one must know the past...
