Elliastral ran to the whimpering sound. Praying to the Valar Daystar was near. But, when she got to the sound, Willow could not believe her eyes. It was Daystar. He was curled in a small ball, the white diamond on his head had bits of red on it. A big whole, going through the poor fox. Sitting down, Elliastral placed Daystar's head on her lap.
"Shhhh," she whispered to her best friend. "It is alright, we are going to get through this." she said again. Tears were forming in her eyes. Willow never cried and would, even as a baby.
"Daystar, you will make it through, I promise. You just have to stay with me and hold on." she whispered. Daystar whimpered. Legolas and Gimli emerged from the corner of her eye, watching the two. Willow pulled her hood down, showing her face to the fox, who tried so hard to nuzzle it but only fell down.
"Daystar..." Willow's voiced trailed off. Daystar chirped sadly, watching his human stroke his fur. A crowd started to gather, waiting to see what happens. Eomer grabbed a pink clothe, giving it to Willow, who wrapped the fox in it. Daystar chirped again, saying goodbye. Willow held the poor fox up to her head, as he licked her.
"I can't live without you. I might as well kill myself." her words were powerful. Willow meant everything she said.
"How about I sing you a song?" Willow said, understanding her furry friend was on the brink of death.
Then, Willow started to sing...
