I wake up to see a pair of legs straight in front of me.

Did I break my back or something why are my legs like that-

Until it hit me. Those are Lando's legs.

I fell asleep on Lando Norris' lap.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry I didn't mean to fall asleep." I stammer as I sit up.

I notice Lando sitting up straight with one arm around the top frame of the couch and the other hand flipping through channels on the tv remote as he softly says, "I didn't mind."

"What time is it even?" I say as I check my phone until I notice two missed calls from Hayden.

I suddenly become very giddy.

I had been waiting for him to call me first and when he finally does, I'm asleep.

"What's got you all excited?" Lando questions me as he gets up to make himself some toast.

"I don't know if you remember Hayden, from the club?"

"No, I don't actually," he grabs out his toaster, "you want some?"

I nod my head taking a seat at his island counter.

"Oh my gosh Lando how could you forget him you literally met him."

"I don't know I don't remember much from that night if I'm being honest." He laughs as he leans on the counter behind him with his arms crossed in front of him.

There is no way Lando doesn't remember Hayden and how protective he was being about me.

"Come on the dirty blonde coloured hair guy?"

Lando looks off into the distance until he replies with an oh yeah realization.

"Well we had been calling a lot but it was always me calling first so I waited to see if he'd call me and he finally did last night but I was asleep."

"Is he still in Australia?" He questions as the toast props up.

"Yep unfortunately, would be nice to see him again. I'll have to call him back but it's hard with the time change-" I'm suddenly caught off guard as my phone rings.

Lando stops buttering his toast and laughs to himself, "imagine that's him?"

I laugh as I reach for my phone until I notice a series of digits.

Although it may seem to be random numbers, I had memorized that phone number too many times.

"So is it him?" Lando asks but my eyes are glued on my screen.

"Lacy?" He says trying to meet my eyes.

"It's my dad calling."

"Then answer it Lace." He says with a smile but it suddenly fades when he sees how dazed I am.

"I haven't spoken to him in three years, why would he be calling me now?"

The call then drops and I see a voicemail notification pop up.

My finger decides to press the voice mail button and I hear the horse voice of my old man for the first time in three years, "hey Lacy, it's your dad. Just wanted to check in on my little girl, I miss her a lot. I guess you're not so little anymore, where did my little Lacy go?" He pauses for a moment, "just checking in to see if you're doing ok after your crash yesterday, I didn't see anything else in the media but anyways. See you around sometime."

Staring at my phone I press play again.

And again.

And again.
