"Holy shit!" lando screams at me before head out to the podium.
He's practically bouncing off the walls squealing to himself.
Every once in a while he'd stop and zone out looking at the floor with a smile and then he would whisper, "holy shit," before getting all giddy again.
Then the announcers said we needed to get our place hats on.
My finger trailed over the number three on the side of my hat as I couldn't contain my smile.
Lando comes from behind me and puts his hands on my shoulders before leaning to whisper in my ear, "I'm so proud of you doll."
A chill runs through me as he lets go and the announcers rush me over to the entrance as it's almost my turn to step out to the podium.
As they're about to call my name I place the cap on my head and turn to look at Lando and max giving me each a thumbs up like they're my proud little parents.
I take a deep breath and walk out onto the stage.
Holt shit that's a lot of people.
And they were all cheering.
I didn't care if they were fans of me or not.
I even noticed Tom with his arms crossed in the crowd as he strains his neck to look up.
I was up here.
He was not.
Next I spotted Hayden down below making a cup around his mouth with his hands to make his screams as loud as possible.
Then max walked out and everyone started their cheers again.
He gave me a smile from the other side of the podium with a little wink.
Then they called out for Lando.
Let me tell you right now, I have never heard people cheer so loud.
I just knew that this was a monumental moment for all of our McLaren fans; the ones here and the ones watching from home.
Our mechanics, engineers, and team were jumping up and down chanting out for his name and Lando just looked like he was glowing.
He turns to look at me and my gosh it's like the world disappeared.
For those few seconds before his national anthem started to play, everyone and everything else disappeared. It was just him and I up on the podium sharing this historical moment together.
My first podium.
And his first win.
He let out probably the biggest sigh of relief as the sun illuminated his face.
I couldn't help but realize that I had also done this myself.
I always wanted to climb my way up to the top and I fucking did it.
I was also extremely excited for the hell of an after party that was going to be happening tonight.
Then came the trophy ceremony.
My heart rate picked up as I saw them laying there.
The Miami sunlight bounced off of their shiny bodies which was the only thing in my view.
It didn't even feel real as I held it in my hand.
I couldn't help but have a genuine smile. I hadn't felt this happy in a long ass time.
And to share this podium with two people that I had grown close with over the past few months was perfection.
All I needed was my little Liam up here too but I spotted him in the crowd.
Then they awarded Lando his trophy and he looked like a little kid getting a puppy.
He looked at the trophy for a moment letting out a deep sigh trying to let all of this sink in.
Instead of raising the trophy above his head, this guy decides to toss it into the air before landing delicately back into his hands.
The British national anthem poured through the speakers and into our ears.
It had been a while since this anthem had been played on a podium and Lando was so proud that it was because of himself.
I barely had time to process both of the national anthems before Lando picked up his champagne bottle and blasted it against the ground.
The champagne sky rocketed and landed on top of all three of us drivers as I began spraying Lando with every ounce in that bottle.
Then the two boys ganged up on me and I was immediately drenched.
Lando then dumped the rest of his bottle onto my head and I squealed before trying to get him back.
I took a sip of what was left in that bottle before we were told to exit the podium.
Lando was in between max and I walking as he wrapped an arm around both of us, "prepare yourselves guys that will be the first of many drinks on the agenda for this evening."

"What does one even wear to go out clubbing to celebrate her first podium in formula one?" I say frantically as Hayden is combing his hair getting ready to leave.
"Pick anything you'll look gorgeous hun." He says in complete focus on his hair.
"I'm being serious Hayden what do I wear?"
"Why don't you-"
"Shh I found it." I say as I pick out another Annie's Ibiza dress that was dripping in pearls.
I paired it with these large pearl earrings and made sure the rest of my piercings were diamonds to enhance the look.
I kept my hair in messy loose curls before dragging Hayden out the door.
The Miami parties is what I had honestly been looking forward to the most.
Almost the entire grid was going out tonight and I was excited to honestly just let loose after everything that had been going on lately.
Plus it was officially the summer break for us.
I felt like a little kid on the last day of school getting all excited.
Hayden and I decided to walk to the club because we honestly weren't sure what time or even day it would be when we'd get back to our hotel.
I hear my phone ring in my purse and I take it out to see Liam calling me.
"Hello?"
"Lacy! Where the hell are you everyone's waiting for you." I can barely hear him talking over the blasting music.
"Hold on we're almost there."
"We?"
"Yea Hayden and I dumbass."
"Right..." he pauses, "kinda forgot about him not going to lie. Definitely not one of your most memorable boyfriends."
One thing about Liam is that he's completely honest 100% of the time.
"Shut up I'll be there in a sec."
The neon lights are in view as well as a long line to even consider getting into the club.
I'm not going to say I enjoy being somewhat well known or even famous but I'm glad it got me out of that line that's for sure.
