It's English and we got our scores for our analysis. I got the highest - 27/30, Malik second highest - 26/30 and Zayn third highest 25/30. I was happy, I guess but I had a dying urge to ask her "why didn't I get a 29/30?". A.k.a the highest score as apparently you can't get a 30/30:(. But f*cking Malik couldn't shut up by her side.
Like, we get it, you wanna get a score higher than me but sweetheart, I'm so much more smarter. Mrs. Brown was by the end where Layla sits with Mia and Sinamika. I sit with Ava, Leah and Evelyn. Malik was talking to her on how to get a 29/30! I was gonna talk to her about that you stinky rat. Layla was staring at me side-eyeing Malik and giving him "the stinky eye". I was full-on glaring at him. He shifted uncomfortably because I'll be honest, my stare would burn anyone. Then, I went to her and was like.... Wait up
S : Miss! If I add ONE sentence and ONE word would I have gotten a 29/30?
MB : probably a 28/30 because you need structural analysis".
S : What's structural analysis! You never told me about *starts laughing* whatever that thing is!
*Ava and Layla start laughing a lot and Tyke's staring at me*
MB : you never asked me! I thought you knew about it?
S : How did yo- did Malik use structural analysis? Did Leah? Did Mia? Did Zayn? That's cause we don't know about it? Like I need that 29/30 miss
MB : Siyana, it's really high-level as in A-Level literature English and I'm an extremely harsh marker. So, getting a RL5 is really good
S : But what IS structural analysis? Is it like like analysing why the- hold up. *goes to the whiteboard aggressively* LIKE FOR EXAMPLE, WHY DID the writer PUT this sentence here and not here *everyone staring at me as I aggressively point at the board; Layla laughing on the floor quite literally*
MB : that's more high-level but analysing punctuation
S : so as in why the writer chose an exclamation mark instead of a question mark?
MB : yes, but more analysis
S : as in, "OH NOOOOO! and oh no." because there's an exclamation mar- *starts laughing way too much*
M : wtf? *laughs a little*
S : is that gonna get me MY 29?
MB : Siyana, it needs to be more in-depth
S : I GIVE UP! NO 29 FOR ME!
OE : Siyana, what did yo-
M : binti got 27 and is complaining
S : you don't get a say in this because you had Mrs. Brown for the entire lesson as you couldn't shut up about how you could get a 29/30
M : as if you don't
S : I didn't start it
M : ya ghabiy, I was just saying!
MB : Malik and Siyana, if you're done *points to the door*
And then the lesson ends.
In French, it's the same seating plan as Spanish. But they changed it in both, now Habeel and Malik sit behind me and Pedro. It's giving genius' corner. Habeel, Pedro, Malik and me actually talk! I know right. Especially Habeel because Malik was depressed half of the time. We got our test scores and I got a 31/32!
That's amazing because it's French WRITING! Like getting a 26/32 is considered genius. Malik got a 24/32. He lost 8 marks! It was the third highest - Me, Habeel then Malik. Malik, me and Evelyn usually fight for first place in French as she's native French. Me and Pedro for Spanish because he's native. Habeel got a 26/32 and was screaming his head off.
So, there was the phrase "choses de faires" and no one got it. Malik and Habeel were practically begging me to know what the answer was and ofc, I didn't give in.After Malik got his results (not in chronological order), Tyke who was sitting two seats in front of me turned around when my jaw was on the f*cking floor and was like "you got a 31? I can see it".
And I was nodding aggressively. Ofc, Malik's test was right after mine and the look on his face. Colour drained away from his face, tears slightly welled up and that smirk disappeared in seconds. Oh no. He didn't smile for at least 30 minutes after that. I feel so bad, I literally wanted to hug him.
And then, I turned around, I was so sick of watching him act like an NPC for 30 minutes straight. No teasing or taunting me, no snarky comments or anything. A sad face, I know that and I felt that. I said :
S : what did you get? A 24?
M : *sighs* yeah
S : you know it's okay right?*smirks*
P : that's not gon-
S : I've never gotten a 100% in French ever Malik. Only, 96s or 98s *smiling tauntingly*
M : na'am? What about being abused for a 98? (Yeah?)
S : what about being destroyed for a 96?
M : hasaana (Alright), what about being an egotistical creature?
S : what about never having a phone for more than a month because your mum grounds you every two seconds? *laughing sheepishly*
M : *laughs* you donn'tttt get a sayyyy. You got grounded for a year without your phone!
Teacher : Siyana and Malik, behaviour points if you don't stop
We did another test and we both got 100s, oops. But that was because Pedro marked mine very easily and wasn't harsh at all. And Malik used Google translate. I gave Pedro a 13/20 when he got like a 6/20 and I probably got a 19.5 or 19 but he didn't care. And Habeel is really nice because he's just like "Siyana, do you what we need to do here?".
Like, I don't mind talking to any of the boys, especially Malik.
