The scraping of a sword could be heard from the blacksmith shop and echoed throughout the village. I was sharpening my sword, Phoenix. It is a gift from the king since I saved the village from a strong dragon. But that day left me to ponder about loads of things. Why did the sword glow in my hands and not the king's? Am I part of something? I needed to know. I then headed to the library. I looked around until I found an eye-catching scroll in the dusty shelves. It was called The Prophecy of Elements? It read,

One with fire burning bright, Sword of the bird of fire, Goes to defeat the beast of Growler. If he rises in victory, He will be named prince and heir to the throne. First he will go for the heart of the phoenix.

I stopped there and thought about it for a few minutes. I looked at a carving in Phoenix that looked like a heart. Then I realized. I was the person in the prophecy. My sword is the bird of fire. I sprinted to the king's palace, all tensed up. "I'm in a prophecy! I need to get ready I-"

"Whoa Whoa. Slow down. I know."

I loosened a little, but still filled with uncertainty. He knows? King Alexander? How? My mind swelled as it inflated with questions. "Your father told me. Before he passed."

I hesitated to believe. Before I could say anything, The king's servants then came in with a set of reddish armor. "Leave for the Forest of Spire at the crack of dawn tomorrow. Sleep in the palace guest room."

The King's servants led me to my room. I bathed myself in the bathing room, put on a set of my pajamas, left on the bed and slept.

A servant came and woke me up. He had packed a bag of supplies for my journey. I took off my sleeping clothes and put on regular clothes under my armor.

I bid goodbye to my noble king and set out for the Forest of Shadows on my trusty steed, Storm.
