As I entered the forest, I felt a lot of creatures turn their gaze on me.
I walked through the forest, a pit of fear growing inside my body. Just then, I heard something or someone dash into the forest from behind me. Storm whinied, so she must have heard it too. I patted her soft bluish head and told her to move on. As we trotted deeper into the forest, I felt the air enveloping us grow dense. A darkness then followed me and I started growing anxious.
When I was more than halfway through the forest, I saw tribal people. Maybe they can help me, I reasoned. I urged Storm forward, and they started running towards me. ''Gensa um gega, gogna lefa?'' said one.
"Can you guide me?" I replied, puzzled.
After 30 long minutes of lost translation, I tried to speak their language. "Gonga de lef?" I said.
Apparently, That meant "run or die '' in their language. They picked up sticks with sharp purple gems at the end and started hurling them at me. Storm was scared so he bucked me off and galloped back to the village. It was just me. I slid Phoenix out of the sheath and fought back. The leader came up to me and started fighting with a sword a lot like the spears being hurled at me. The rest of the tribe made a circle around the leader and I like a fighting pit. Then, the tribe started chanting. "Ger de lef! Ger de lef!"
I charged at the leader, but he moved to the side swiftly, almost cannonballing me into the spears that the tribe members held up. I then lifted my sword up just above my waist. I swung hard, and when I heard a clunk, I knew I defeated him.
Or so I thought. He had held up a wooden shield, and I had just made a deep dent in it. The leader threw the shield at me and I tried to dodge it, but it sliced a deep cut into my arm, and it was deep enough to expose my bone. Pain shot through my entire arm, and I stumbled backward. Then, he threw the shield at me, and it hit my head, and my vision then blurred. Just when I was about to lose consciousness, somebody dashed and carried me out of the fight. Whoever it was, that person was fast! I couldn't see who it was, because my world was fading into the blackness of the void as my consciousness gave way.
