Onyx's POV
Marigold rushed out of the room on the verge of crying and I knew it had something to do with that annoying fire kid that beat me. I looked at him with pure hatred, and rushed over to Marigold. I ended up in a dark hallway, which soothed and energized me and my powers. I heard sniffling in one corner so I approached the sound.
I turned, and saw Marigold with her head in her hands and her glasses sat next to her. "Marigold? Are you okay?"
She looked up at me for one moment, and sobbed in her arms. I sat next to her, and she leaned on my shoulder. "I really like Everrett, but it feels like Ash is stealing him away from me."
Typical Everrett. He ignores people all the time most likely. Marigold needs someone better. "Well," I started "Everrett can be a jerk for all I care. I'm here for you if you need me."
Marigold looked into my eyes, her sky blue eyes gazed into mine. She had a glimmer of hope in her eyes. They were beautiful. "Thanks, Onyx." she said softly. She took a moment to breathe, and then she stood up. " I really am hungry after fighting Ash. It was a tough battle. Want to come back to the feast with me?" I looked at her and flashed a rare smile. "Okay sure!" Marigold pulled me up and we walked back to the feast, hand in hand. It felt strange but she had been through a lot so I let it go. Plus I was in a good mood today.
