After a few minutes, Marigold and Onyx walked in together holding hands. Marigold was no longer crying, so Marigold sat in a spare seat next to Onyx. A meal of hot vegetable broth and bread appeared in front of her, so she immediately dug in. Onyx was talking to her, but I couldn't make out what he was saying. Marigold seemed to be in a better mood. Ash caught me looking. "I told you, she's fine."
I agreed with her, but I still felt guilty. "Even if she is, I should still go and talk to her."
Ash flashed a disgusted face at me. "Just stay here with me. She'll be fine." she grabbed my arm before I could stand up. I was confused. Ash had never been this clingy before. Then I remembered. Ash likes me. The love version of like. I actually kind of like her back too. I blushed slightly. I gave in. "Oh, alright."
We talked for a long time until a bell rang, and dinnertime was over. Everyone went to their rooms except Marigold; she went to Onyx's room with him. My room was next to Onyx's, so I went there. I layed down on my bed and tried to sleep. I could hear the voices through the walls which I assumed were Onyx and Marigold. I smiled. Onyx finally had someone to talk to. I then drifted off to sleep.
