After what happened that damn night of 1983, Hayden Maldonado, his family and friends thought that everything was going back normal, maybe play another DnD campaign, hanging out at the arcade, you know, the usual for our Hawkins boy.

Another year went by for everyone in Hawkins, the one that changed Jay a lot, her turned 15, he formalized the relationship with Max and he FINALLY grew, a lot. Max jokes that she and Elizabeth grabbed Jay by feet and the arms and stretched him as hard as they could, the result? Jay standing at almost 6'0ft, being almost as tall as his father and being the tallest in the party.
Talking about his the party, they noticed a slight change on his attitude, he was growing a bit more serious and sometimes cold like his mother, leaving that sarcastic Jay behind for a more serene and serious one, but he's still sarcastic from time to time. The only one that broke that serious attitude were his parents, friends and specially Max, oh boy , that girl was his weakness and total obliteration. He met her family formaly and also announced his relationship with Max, Susan couldn't be happier for Max that she got such a boyfriend, Neil was skeptical and cold towards Jay, which Jay responded with equal coldness that made Neil's blood boil, but there was nothing he could do to the kid, and what about Billy? They were on neutral ground, both forgetting that he beat up Jay and just being formal to each other, what Billy couldn't deny and wouldn't stop remarking is how bold Jay is, standing his ground against his father was something that not everyone could do, not even him, so very deep inside Billy, he had a big respect for the boy.
And now, talking about Max? Jay couldn't be more in love and happy for having her as his girlfriend, they hanged out a lot since last year, almost daily during summer vacations. Max teached him how to skate which after many falls, cuts and some blood, he achieved it. From Jay's part, he showed and shared his collection of music and books with her, Max always took his comics and stole maybe one or two cassettes of Elvis Presley that remind her so much of him, and what were they doing when they weren't skating, singing, reading, at the arcade or Max wasting Jay's money at the new mall?? Well, just imagine Mike and El, just not that wild... At all, but they never ditched the party's invitations to hang out, they loved to make out but they knew their limits. And talking about make out, poor Max, they were once discovered eating each other's faces by Elizabeth, she was almost killed Max for doing that, she didn't but she kicked Max out of the house, but after many days of talking (begging), Elizabeth finally let Max back inside the house after one month! Just with one condition, no kissing, did they obliged? Absolutely not.
So, Jay's life was going great, the best girlfriend with a stable and good relationship, best family and friends, but nothing lasts forever and when summer arrives, the Maldonado family will get involved into Upside Down stuff, again, so it's on their hands to bring everything back to normal before something happens, because with this people, it only gets stranger.
