The next day, Max was skating on the street, talking about a new trick she learned to Jay while he watch her and just nodded, not that he can pull a trick but he still had all his attention on her, but he slipped some details of her explanation.
"Wait, can you do that again? The flick thing, please." asked Jay while Max nodded, she took some impulse and did a kick-flip on the skate. Jay watched attentively as she did it, but his eyes widened when she failed doing the trick, "Max! Are you all right?" Jay said as he immediately walked to her and checked her.
"Yes, I'm go- what the..." Jay followed the eyes of Max, his confusion growing as he saw none other than El herself holding Max's skateboard, then she walked to them, what the hell was she doing here? Better question, was she even allowed to be there?
"Hi." El said with that usual weird attitude of her, handing the skate back to Max.
"Hi?" the couple said in unision, looking at El confusedly by her sudden appearance, and most important, seeing her without Mike glued to the hip.
"Can we talk?" El asked but looking more specifically at Max, then she looked up at Jay, "Alone." she clarified as Jay nodded.
"I'll see you tomorrow then, Max." Jay said understanding that this was probably girls business, so he said gathered his things, said his goodbyes and skated back home.
Arthur, Jay and Elizabeth were on their living room, sharing some popcorn as they finally did their movie night, or day.
What movie were they watching? Dune by David Lynch, his dad took the VHS from his Video Store, AKA, Family Video. Going back to the movie, it was a understanding that Jay was excited, and how could anyone blame him? He read the whole book more than once, so he expected the best movie of the century because Dune is the best book of the century, FACT. But much to his disappointment and confusion, he didn't enjoy the movie, in fact, it was a really weird movie."Is this what you were reading, Jay? Seems odd in my opinion." asked Elizabeth as she saw the confusion face on her son's face.
"I think I might have skipped some details while reading, because I swear I don't remember dogs." Jay said confused, tilting his head to side and looking at the TV, "Whoa... Is that the guy from that band?"
Suddenly the telephone rang, interrupting the confusion of Jay, "I get it, I get it." announced Arthur, standing up from the couch and picking up the telephone, "Maldonado residence, Arthur speaking." he spoke with a neutral face, but it soon turned into a confused one, "Whoa, whoa, Michael, calm down." Jay and Elizabeth turned at the mention of their cousin/nephew. Arthur sighed and rubbed his eyes, nodding and muttering a few words before looking at Jay, "It's Mike, he wants to speak with you."
Jay let out a long sigh, then he stood up from the couch and walked to his father taking the call, "Michael, I swear to God if you're calling me for money or to play DnD, you're dead."
