The next day, Jay was driving towards Lovers Lake, on the passenger seat was a backpack full with clothes and needs from Olivia like clothes and things to get her makeup off.

After a few minutes, Jay parked his car outside the boathouse and stepped outside his car, he didn't spotted anyone, probably because he was a bit more early than everyone. He then slowly walked inside, "It's okay, it's me, Hayden." he announced as Eddie appeared from a corner and Olivia appeared from the canoe.

"Jesus, I almost killed you, Maldonado." said Eddie as he showed a sharp piece of glass, Jay rolled his eyes subtly and walked to Olivia, hugging her before giving her the backpack

"Thank you, uh... Can you two, like..." Olivia then started making a circle in the air, Jay nodded and walked to Eddie, both facing the wall as Olvia did whatever she was doing now.

"I'm sorry for what I did yesterday, I was just paranoid." Jay whispered as he shifted back and forth.

Eddie chuckled dryly and shook his head, "It's okay, I would be paranoid too... You have some good moves on your sleeve, Maldonado." admitted Eddie, and just as in cue, Dustin, Steve, Robin and Max came inside, Dustin held a few bags on his hands.

"Delivery service."

Now Eddie and Olivia (in Jay's clothes) were eating a few things, Olivia was eating a chicken sandwich that Jay made while Eddie was desperately eating some cereal, he already ate the sandwich that Jay gave to him.

"So we got, uh, some good news and some bad news. How do you prefer it?" started Dustin and Olivia and Eddie turned to look at him.

"Bad news first, at least we'll feel a bit relieved after." spoke Olvia with a shrug, Eddie nodded in agreement.

"All right, bad news. We tapped into the Hawkins PD dispatch with our Cerebro, and they're definitely looking for both of you." Dustin took a small pause as he focus on Eddie, "They're, uh, pretty convinced that you killed Chrissy, and also assumed that you either kidnaped Olivia or that she helped you." explained Dustin.

"Like, 100% kind of convinced." added Max as Olivia groaned and rubbed her eyes.

"And the good news?" now said Eddie, full of hope that at least something good is going on.

"Your name hasn't gone public, yet." said Robin as Jay shrugged softly.

"But it's matter of time they found out about you, and the fact that everyone believes that DnD is satanic and all, they're basically gonna hunt you... Sorry, Eddie, Liv." said Jay with a small sigh as he leaned on a pillar, close to Max that didn't seemed to be bothered by the closeness with her ex.

"Hunt the freak, right?" asked Eddie as Jay nodded with a awkward expression.

"So, before that happens, we need to find Vecna, kill him, and prove your innocence and prove that you didn't kidnapped Olvia." was Dustin with a little too much confidence and positive that it was gonna be easy...

"That's all, Dustin? That's all?" questioned Eddie sarcastically and before Dustin could respond, Jay interrupt him.

"Dustin, let's be realistic, what you just said could be compared to someone trying to find El Dorado or something." said Jay with a shrug as Dustin nodded again.

"Yeah, uh... Sorry."

"Listen, Eddie, Olivia. Uh, I know everything Dustin is saying sounds totally delusion, but we've actually been through this kind of thing before, I mean, they have a-a few times, and I have once. Mine was more human-flesh-based, theirs was more smoke-relatated, but bottom line is, collectively, I really feel we got this." explained Robin as Olivia nodded and turned to look at Jay, who also shook his head in denial.
