Yunji's enormous hangover had to make the list of top 10 worst things to ever happen to her in her life.
Stumbling down the stairs, she clutched her head, which pounded with a never-seen-before severity. Annie was seated in the kitchen, working away on her laptop as she always did, considering she worked remotely. Her eyes shifted up to meet Yunji's as the young girl walked up with a visibly sour expression on her face.
"Seems like you had a good time last night." Annie remarked humorously, and Yunji groaned in response.
"I feel like I'm dying." She retorted, "I'm never drinking again."
"I tell myself that every year, but nothing can prevent me from drinking the devil's liquor." Annie laughed.
Yunji didn't comment, instead heading for the sink and pouring herself a generous glass of water. She chugged it down as if she'd been dehydrated for days, and then went back for seconds and thirds. Upon satisfying her thirst, she finally turned back around towards Annie, who was already back to her laptop.
"Breakfast is in the fridge." The woman explained, and Yunji shook her head.
"I can't, I'll probably throw up."
"You haven't already? Girl, that's the basics!"
"I don't even remember how I got home last night." Yunji proclaimed, and Annie gasped.
"Well..." The latter proclaimed. "You did, so that's all that matters. But next time, make sure you get a chaperone or something. Walking around at night drunk can be very dangerous, you know?"
"I know, I know..." Yunji trailed off, leaning against the kitchen counter.
Upon waking up, she'd discovered that her crutch was missing. Yes, her leg was supposedly good enough to walk on now. But its absence still confused and concerned her, and she had no clue where she had left it.
However, she was far too tired to admit this to Annie, but she didn't really need to as the latter commenced a new topic.
"Right, your mom told me to remind you about dinner with the neighbours before she left. She said you have to help out with setting the table."
And then hellfire came crashing down as Yunji's fragmented memories returned to her mind.
Her face instantly lit up in a bright red hueue.
Upon receiving no response, Annie glanced up and frowned. "Are you okay?"
"I'm-" Yunji began, but didn't even know what to say.
She'd embarassed herself profusely. It was so bad that for once she could say that she would rather die than face Jisung again after that.
However, she couldn't really tell Annie that Jisung had been the one to carry her into the house. Rather, she took a deep breath and retorted with a hasty "I'm fine", before fleeing the room at a rapid pace.
