"Okay, but why can't this guy, or whatever they are, just own up to their feelings already? I'm getting tired of having these bouquets around all the time."
"You're just jealous."
"No, Yunji, I'm not jealous. I have a pollen allergy."
"Oh shut up, you just hate anything that smells nice because you don't shower." Yunji rolled her eyes, and Sumi gasped loudly.
"Slander! I do shower!" She defended, but knew it didn't really matter, as Yunji was clearly just joking around.
Dahae was sitting beside them silently, staring off into space as per usual.
Yunji had been attending ballet classes regularly for almost a week now. Her body felt strained and hurt, but that only gave her satisfaction. She'd thoroughly missed the feeling of hard work. Although, she was mindful about her ankle, because although it had healed fully, she was encouraged by the nurse to not prompt the feeble muscles into twisting again.
"On another note," Sumi leaned forward whilst stretching out her legs in a split. "Today's the workshop that Miss Lee's been hyping up all week."
"You're right." Dahae hummed, "I completely forgot about it."
"Classic Hae."
"It's tango, isn't it?" Yunji retorted whilst doing a front-facing split herself.
Sumi hummed in agreement. "Yep. With the contemporary dance people too." Her face contorted into disgust. "What a phenomenal way to end the week."
"You're being dramatic." Yunji rolled her eyes, "Some of the younger students had the workshop already, and I haven't heard anyone complain."
"Just because you're in kahoots with Jisung doesn't mean that the rest of us are."
"How many times do I have to tell you that there is no 'kahoots' or anything of the sort." Yunji groaned, but the girls' argument was cut short by Miss Lee entering the room.
"Alright, I'd like to invite all my senior students to get to the contemporary dance studio." She clasped her hands together with a smile. "Your workshop is about to start."
Yunji didn't fail to miss the particularly excited glance the ballet teacher sent her way, but decided to ignore it as she got up from the floor. Alongside her friends and some of the other third years, she made her way out of the ballet studio and towards the modern dance room.
The entirety of the senior contemporary dance class, their teachers Miss Jung and Mr Kim, as well as two unfamiliar faces had already gathered. The incoming ballerinas politely bowed their heads as they entered, and the two strangers smiled warmly.
"All right everyone," Miss Lee commanded the room's attention as she entered after the ballerinas. "These are mister and missus Hong. They're the national champions in partner dance, specifically tango, and have been for almost three years now. Please give them a warm welcome, as well as your undivided attention!"
