"Why's the weather so clear today?" Sumi questioned, looking up at the sky rather suspiciously. As summer neared, the weather got hotter. Yet within just a week, it had changed drastically from cloudy and windy days into warm sunny ones.
Dahae shrugged. "A change of weather is usually a reflection of good events."
"Or just the change in seasons." Yunji chirped in with a 'duh' sound to her voice.
"Nah, Hae's explanation is better." Sumi remarked, "Yunji's skin is glowing so much that if I didn't know her, I'd think she got laid yesterday."
"Whattt?!" Yunji exclaimed shocked, "I finally get to stand on two feet with a darn crutch, and you attribute my glow to that?"
"I suppose you're right." Sumi shrugged innocently. "But I can't shake off the feeling there's something you're not telling us about your break."
"We all got back to the dorm at like 11 PM last night? We didn't even discuss our breaks yet."
"I'm happy we don't have dance training today." Dahae interrupted, stretching lightly.
"True that. You're so correct in every aspect of everything Hae." Sumi cooed and Yunji rolled her eyes.
Since a new term was beginning, their Monday morning practice was replaced by a school-wide assembly. Yunji was kind of disappointed, because she wanted to get back to practicing as quickly as possible, but decided not to mention it to her two friends.
Prior to every assembly, the students were to gather at their home rooms for attendance. Yunji, Sumi, and Dahae had decided to set out rather early and were on their way to the main school building through the campus grounds.
As they approached the massive doors, a dozen or so students were walking with them. However, as Yunji tilted her head, something caught her eye.
On the edge of the path stood Linkai, simply observing the crowd. In his left hand was a sizeable bouquet of roses. Yunji was quickly reminded of the previous term's mysterious bouquets, and mentally remarked that flowers with varied meanings were a much more intricate and thought-of gift than just plain roses.
As the girls continued their advance, Linkai and Yunji made brief eye contact, and to her surprise (and horror), he began speed walking in their direction.
"Please don't tell me that's Linkai coming here," Sumi whispered, annoyance obvious in her tone.
"With a bouquet of roses..." Dahae added, confused, but intrigued nonetheless.
The three girls were forced to a stop as Linkai stood in their tracks, eyes solely focused on Yunji. The latter groaned internally, panicking at the possibility of what might ensue.
"Hey, Yunji!" Linkai chirped, albeit a bit nervously. "-And Sumi and Dahae."
"Hi..." Dahae uttered politely, but upon receiving a sharp glance from Sumi, she quieted down.
