Taylor has been missing from the studio for three days
Three days of unanswered calls and unanswered texts
"Is he pulling her out?" I hear Renee ask Tiago but his shrug does nothing to settle my mind
"Have you seen her?" She asks
"No"
"Any contact at all??"
"Nothing"
I watch as they shake their heads and look solemnly at the keyboard Renee is sat at
"Are you happy now?" I ask Gabe as I turn to face my band mates. He at least has the decency to lower his head. His eye is black and his lip split from when I got my hands on him the morning after this all went down.
He sold a story, bitter that Taylor had ditched him and when Taylors dad found out everyone in the studio heard about it.
He threatened to sue, to have Gabe arrested, the insanity went on and on but no one has seen or heard from Taylor since and as I think back to the day in the corridor when he tried to tear her T-shirt from her body in a fit of rage I can't help the way my blood runs cold
"Look I did the wrong thing but I didn't know her dad was an absolute psychopath"
"You 'did the wrong thing'?!" I'm just about to lay in to him again when the studio door opens and in walks the gorilla, I hold my breath and wait for Taylor, desperate to see her, to make sure she's okay but as the door clicks closed it's obvious she isn't coming in today either.
I watch as the gorilla embarks on a conversation with Tiago, their voices are low but I can tell by the tone that it isn't good news
Renee shakes her head whilst Tiago looks as though he's about to hit someone and I know that feeling well, it's all I want to do every time I look at Gabe.
Just as he's about to leave the gorilla turns and looks directly at me "we need to talk" he says and I follow him out of the studio and in to the kitchen
"Taylor and Scott are on their way. You say nothing, you do nothing, you don't look at her, you don't acknowledge you even know who she is"
"Who the fuck do you think you're talking to?" I step towards him and he takes a step forward too, our gazes burning in to each other, so much testosterone filling the small space that I can almost taste it
"Do you think my job is just to protect her from over excited fans?" I clench my teeth as I allow him to speak "No, it's to protect her from her father too and you coming along all big mouth and ego, filling her head with fairytales of a life she can not possibly have is just making my job ten times fuckin harder" He turns his back on me and laces his fingers together behind his head
"Fairytales? Having the right to choose your own clothes and live your own life are fairytales? Are you out of your tiny mind? It's a god damn human right"
The gorilla spins to face me, his cheeks red with frustration
"Scott owns Taylor, his entire world is built around her and her career, if he thinks for a second someone else is getting involved..."
"Yeah well it's too late, I am involved and I'm staying involved"
"Are you hearing a single word that I am saying?"
"I hear them but that doesn't mean I'm listening to them"
"You think you have such a good understanding of this, that all you have to do is convince her to make her own decisions and her entire life will change well let me tell you something. Scott controls Taylor, if he feels like he is losing that control then she is at risk. Do you hear that? Are you listening to me now?"
I open my mouth to speak but there's a sudden commotion in the reception area and I pull open the door hoping to lay my eyes on the girl that's taking over my life and my mind but the gorilla grabs my arm and pulls me back
"When you see her, it's not how it looks, I would never let that happen"
"What the...?"
"Out of the way! Move! Taylor Swift is here, move out of her fuckin way!"
It's been a while since I heard that voice but I recognise it immediately as Scott Swift.
I pull open the door and watch as he struts through the corridor pushing everyone and everything out of his way as he heads towards Studio 1, it's only when he's passed that I finally lay eyes on Taylor, she's so tiny compared to him.
She's back in those stupid fuckin heels and a knee length, grey, woolen dress and I'm reminded of the first time I saw her, how all I had wanted to do was put her in some jeans and walk bare foot down the road with her.
I attempt to make eye contact but she has shades on and her gaze is obviously down on the ground, I can see the shame of her situation weighing down on her and I want to grab her hand and run away with her, protect her from all this shit but her bodyguards words are still repeating in my head
'Scott controls Taylor, if he feels like he is losing that control then she is at risk'
And then I spot what he was talking about and my temper goes up like a stick of dynamite as I step back into the room and slam the door shut
"Explain that right now before I go out there and raise fuckin hell"
"Things got heated, he threw a glass, it smashed and part of it ricocheted and it hit her"
"She has a massive cut on her face. Give me one reason I shouldn't go out there and punch him in his"
"Because that's nothing compared to what's happened in the past. You say nothing. You do nothing. I'm the only one that can protect her now"
"Oh right, you can protect her? I assume that means you think you can try and make out with her again"
"What's going on between me and Taylor has nothing to do with you" he pokes a finger into my chest and I instinctively slap his hand away
"There is nothing going on between you and Taylor"
"I'm not talking about this with you"
"That's because there's nothing to talk about" again I step closer to him, inviting him to say something I don't like... daring him to say anything I don't like
"Look, I'm not going to wait all these years to get this close to having Taylor to let some guy in make-up just swoop in and take her. I don't care what I have to do you are not taking Taylor from me, got it?"
