It's been a long time since I was home...

Too long!

I walk over the white sand, dipping my toes into the crystal clear water and enjoy the warmth of the sun on my skin

Home...

This is what happiness feels like, it's been a long time since I felt this way

'Taylor!' I don't need to turn to know my mother is walking beside me, I feel her breath on my neck, her soft voice in my ears, her hand in mine

So this is what love feels like

'I missed you mommy'

'What do you mean?' She asks me with amusement on her voice

'All the years I was away'

'Oh Tay Tay, stop talking silly, you have been here all along'

I let my gaze lazily follow the waterline and it's true, it feels like I never left. My soul feels light of all the burdens Los Angeles and fame brought me

'Tay!' I begin to smile as I watch my brother Austin rise from the water and begin jogging towards me. He takes my other hand in his and I feel no wetness from the ocean just warmth and peace and family...

So this is what it's like to be amongst my family, this is the feeling I have been missing all this time

'Tay Tay, it's time to go' says my mother and I turn to her in confusion but her hand has already slipped mine and she's half way down the beach watching me and waving nothing but love on her face

'Austin...' I turn to my brother but he too has gone and is now standing with his arms around my mothers waist waving 'No! Don't leave me!' I cry but the are no more than a shadow on the the sand

'Taylor...' I turn left and right searching for the voice but the beach looks as though it's falling off the edge of the world and in its place is the brightest light I ever saw 'Taylor please!'

'Travis?' I search the white light in desperation, everything around me is falling away, I feel as though I'm floating but then I feel a surface behind me begin to take shape.

'Come back to me Taylor please'

'I can't see you, where are you? I'm scared!' I begin thrashing, backwards and forwards, trying to scream trying to beg for help but no words will leave my throat. My limbs feel heavy, and my chest feels as though it has the weight of the world resting on it. I feel as though I'm suffocating, like I'm being crushed to death and then all of a sudden I'm light. I heave in breath after breath as I feel tears begin to pour down my face

"She's back!" I hear an unfamiliar voice shout and then cheering breaks out all around me. I open my eyes to a sea of strangers, my throat so dry and my entire body blazing with pain.

I don't even try to talk, to question because I spot one face in the crowd I do recognise and he's walking towards me, I don't know if he's laughing or crying but as his hand snatches mine up he's all I see

"Hey baby. You're back" he laughs and then drops himself down to embrace me "Don't you ever leave me again" he whispers and I feel my neck becoming damp with the flow of his own tears

*a mini update to end all those gloomy cliffhangers lol x
