The men went off to training. Kyle and Luka found themselves training hand to hand. Luka had more power, more strength and far more stamina after a good round in the med-bed. The two men fought relentlessly. Laughing and knocking each other down. Blood spilling from their faces, their knuckles; bruising and swelling forming. "Fuck, you are putting up a hell of a fight, and you haven't tried to stab me yet!" Kyle insisted. "I told you; I am feeling great!" Luka laughed. He went to swing as his arm was caught and Kyle hit him hard in the face. His head swung as he saw a tooth shoot out of his mouth. Kyle burst out laughing. "Holy shit! I broke you already!" Kyle laughed as he clapped. Luka grabbed his tooth as he smiled, his front left tooth knocked out as Kyle laughed harder. "Keep it that way, it's perfect." Kyle continued to laugh. "Alright, I got to go put it back in." Luka mumbled as he grabbed a towel and wiped some of the blood off his face and hands.
Kyle grabbed his nose and set it as Luka looked at him and grimaced. "I've only had to do that once to myself. Worst feeling." Luka admitted. "Have you seen my nose? It's happened way too many times that I've gotten used to it." Kyle insisted. Kyle followed Luka to the medical bay as Dr. Isaac looked at them. "What the hell?! Give you time in the med-bed and you try to destroy yourself on the first day! What is wrong with you?!" Dr. Isaac exclaimed as he looked at the two bloody men. "You're going to love this then." Kyle stated as Luka smiled and held up his tooth. Kyle started to laugh again. "Do I need the med-bed?" Luka asked. "Na, sit down. I'll use the wand." Dr. Isaac stated as he grabbed the tooth. Luka sat down as Dr. Isaac planted it back into the hole. He used a small medical wand that lit up when he placed it under the tooth and held it. The wand healed the tooth back into his head in under three minutes. "Good as new." Dr. Isaac stated.
Several weeks had passed and they were finally onto their first mission in a while. They were sent to a planet on a military reconnaissance mission. They knew it was Kruger, but there was a new building and they needed to know the advancements of the base. They placed themselves around the outside perimeter. It was almost like a giant spaceship that housed a million people. The world was cold, covered in snow. The large forests around the compound bared no leaves. The compound rose into the sky far above the trees. The men were left with only the trees as their protection, and Earth based gear, their neurochips, implants and teleportation weren't working. Any use of mind abilities would be caught on the systems. They were sitting ducks as they did their best to keep low and watched the workings outside the compound.
The compound itself had several octagonal shapes built on top of each other in a staggered pattern. A dark charcoal colored metal made up the building with thousands of windows littering the dark charcoal façade. Fencing perched around the compound. Billy got close enough to see that the building was at least twenty feet below the fencing as well. "This place is huge." Billy whispered into their normal coms. It was the only form of communication they had that wasn't picked up by the security systems. They needed to learn about the systems in order to take advantage and beat it. Luka looked around. There were a lot of lights around the compound. Constant sounds of machines and work. The men continued to watch. Rory recognized the blank stares of the black goo Kruger Mercenaries. "It's uncanny isn't it?" Parker whispered into the coms. "Shut the fuck up Deuce. The only one who knew me like that was Reaper and it wasn't for long." Rory stated. "Enough." Luka commanded.
