63: The Beginning of a Quiet Mind

General Harding sat on the fact that two of his super soldiers were being taken and tortured, but Jensen and Javier were standing against it as they gave the ok for Dr. Randolph to call Dr. Amir. Gabe took a job and sent Kyle on his way. Kyle was more than happy to accept the job to help his friend. They needed the money to bring in Dr. Amir and they were going to do anything in their power. Within a week they had the money acquired and Dr. Amir was brought in. He stepped foot into Sector 24 for the first time as Javier and Jensen met him along with Dr. Randolph. "I hope your flight was well. It is wonderful to see you again." Dr. Randolph said as Dr. Amir smiled and shook his hand. "It has been a long time Gary." Dr. Amir smiled as he met Jensen and Javier for the first time.

The men sat down in the conference room as they started to explain the situation and brought Luka in as he sat down. He sat exhausted as he looked around the room. "Good morning, Novak. I am Dr. Amir, and I am going to be integrating Alexei for you." Dr. Amir stated. "How? This didn't go well for Dr. Randolph." Luka stated. Dr. Amir nodded his head. "I have an ability to push past coding. I am going to go into your mind Luka, and I am going right to the cage you keep Alexei in, and I will integrate him from there. It can take a while, but I promise you I will get rid of him for you." Dr. Amir stated as Luka looked at him. "Will he be removed or blended?" Luka asked as Dr. Amir smiled. "Do you want him removed or do you want to gain his abilities?" He asked as Luka smiled. "I am going to be selfish. I want my abilities back." Luka stated as Dr. Amir nodded his head. "Tell me exactly what you want, and I will make sure the parts you don't want will be gone." He spoke. There was something about Dr. Amir that Luka trusted. He held himself confidently. He had an aura about him that told Luka he was going to get exactly what he needed.

The process took months. Luka was exhausted from fighting the battle of Malcolmson and the struggle of integrating Alexei, who didn't want to go anywhere, but one battle was finally won as Luka became whole for the first time since he was a child. "How do you feel?" Dr. Amir asked as he sat in front of Luka. "I don't know. It's so quiet." Luka admitted as Dr. Amir smiled. "Everything you wanted, you got to keep. It's yours now. Everything you didn't want, is gone. You are just Luka now." Dr. Amir said as Luka smiled and broke down in tears. "Thank you." He said with a smile. It was an emotional time and Luka felt like a weight had been lifted off him. So much so that he got his own horrible thoughts in his mind.

He knocked on Kyle's door as the door slid opened. "Bitch tits! What can I do for you today?" Kyle said from his sofa as he played video games. "I need advice from my best friend." Luka stated as Kyle paused his game and put the controller down. "What do you need?" Kyle asked. "These past few days I have been feeling amazing, but I still have a thorn in my side. A fatherly thorn. Do you think I can handle the situation and take care of it?" Luka asked as Kyle realized he was speaking in code. Kyle nodded his head. "I believe you can pull the thorn out of your side. Remember to just breathe and..." Kyle said as he gestured with his finger as if he was pulling the trigger of a gun. "This is why you are my best friend." Luka said with a smile. Luka got up and went to leave. "Where are you going?" Kyle asked. "I need the pain to gone. I just needed some friendly advice." Luka stated as Kyle smiled. "Good luck." Kyle said as he picked his controller back up and resumed his game.

Dr. Malcolmson sat in his office working on paperwork as Luka appeared out of nowhere. He looked up and saw Luka looking at him. "What are you doing here?" Dr. Malcolmson asked. Luka looked around the room. The shelves that used to hold the glass jars full of his dead offspring were now a nice golden water feature. "This is better. I like this." Luka stated as he looked at it. "I'm doing work. How did you get in here?" Dr. Malcolmson asked as Luka smiled. "I'm integrated. He's gone." Luka stated as Dr. Malcolmson looked at him confused. "How?" Dr. Malcolmson asked. "We found a way." Luka spoke as he walked over and sat down in a chair. He put his left leg over the right as he looked at his father.
