58: Finding Redeption

Luka struggled with his daily tasks. Listening to Allie brief them on missions and things that needed done, but unable to get close to her. Billy angry at him. It caused a riff in the team. The team was off in a massive battle with giant looking hippos, with elephant seal faces and frog tongues called Rowlons on a planet called Mezeron. Another planet the Higher Authority had been trying to take over for the resources. The men used energy weapons and blew the creatures to bits, but they came through large holes in the crust of the planet. Luka felt a squeezing pressure around his waist, he was caught in a tongue as flung him back into a boulder. His helmet taking a blow, messing with the HUD systems. Luka turned his gun and shot it as it blew up and he tore the tongue off from around his waist. "You got to use the siren!" Luka shouted over coms as he went to pull his helmet off. Billy rolled his eyes under his helmet as he pulled it off to concentrate.

Luka felt another tongue as he was pulled inside the large beast. The smell was worse on the inside. He managed to put his helmet back on as he hit the trigger of his energy weapon, blowing the creature from the inside. Luka dropped hard to the ground several feet away. He was covered in chunks and black gelatinous goo. Billy had already cleared a large perimeter. "Reaper. They are coming over to top of the hills." Kyle called out. "We're not going to win this!" Gabe shouted out. "Look, they can be pissed at us all they want. We got to get out of here!" Rory shouted. "Grab on. I'll teleport us!" Luka shouted. The men flashed back into the locker room, triggering the sensors for an unauthorized access. The alarms rang and the lights flashed as Jensen heard Sandra. "Unauthorized access in locker room." She stated.

Jensen ran over as quickly as he could. He went to yell at the men and stopped dead in tracks at the horrific smell coming from them. "What the hell is that?" Jensen asked. "That would be my ass." Parker stated. "This is worse than that. I'm going to leave you to shower. We'll talk later." Jensen stated as he went away. The men started to laugh as Billy looked at Luka and grabbed the neck of his heavy gear. "Keep your fucking helmet on Novak!" He shouted at him as he swung his helmet and hit Luka in the head and walked off. "What the fuck?! What did you do?" Kyle asked confused. "Lover's quarrel." Parker insisted. Luka looked at Parker. "What didn't I do? Ever since she came back everything turned to shit." Luka admitted. "Well, you got your dick all hard for her." Rory stated as Luka glared at him. "Because Reaper doesn't know how to deal with emotions and situations that involve them, so people get pushed out." Kyle stated. "Experience?" Gabe asked with a smirk. "He was my boyfriend first." Kyle insisted.

The men started to take off their heavy gear. "Dude, what the hell did you do?" Kyle asked as Luka looked down, he had a huge bruise across his body. A long laceration within the bruise. "Let me see it?" Gabe stated as he looked at it. "I'd have Isaac look at that. You look like you have some internal bleeding and broken ribs. The men showered as Luka got into a pair of boxer-briefs and walked the hall to the medical bay. Jensen saw Luka as he stopped him. "What the hell is going on?" Jensen asked. "What now?" Luka demanded to know. His voice bellowing through the hall. Jensen looked around and back to him. "I don't know. What's going on? Your mind is a mess." Jensen insisted. "Get out of my head. You don't want to deal with that right now." Luka insisted. "Is this the Billy thing?" Jensen said quietly. Luka sighed. "It's Billy. It's Allie. It's I don't know what the fuck to do right now. I'm lost. I haven't had to deal with this before and no one wants to make this easier. I don't want to talk to you about it." Luka demanded as he moved around Jensen and went into the medical bay.

Dr. Isaac looked over as he saw Luka coming in. "My favorite super soldier." He said with a smile as he stopped and looked at the wound. "What the hell happened?" Dr. Isaac asked. "They had tongues. Frog tongues and I got caught twice and I got ate, so let's just fix this." Luka stated. "Well, come on over to the med-bed. We'll get you fixed right up. Should take a few hours, want a sedative?" Dr. Isaac asked. "You know how much I need." Luka stated, knowing he takes almost three times as much as a normal human. Luka felt the prick and the closed his eyes as the med-bed closed and the gas started to pump in.
