Annaka POV
They started arguing about whether the guy was alive or dead, surrendered or not surrendered. I wasn't listening at all. I didn't care. I was caught up in my own head until Killua walked up to me.
"Okay, you have to be thinking about something that keeps making you zone out, so is it bad, good? in the middle?" he asked me.
"Why do you care?" I asked, not in a rude way, I was just curious.
"Because we're friends. Friends look out for each other. They have each other's back. So talk," he answered.
I gave a deep sigh, 'It wouldn't hurt to tell him a little bit right?'
"I'm thinking about my family," I said.
"What about them," he asked.
"If they're looking for me, if they found me, or trying to find me. Did they find me and just not care? Are they hunting me down? Will I have to go back there? What will happen if I do? Questions like those are running through my head," I whispered, so I won't be overheard.
Killua sat next to me. "If it makes you feel any better, I live in fear of my brother, Illumi."
"Really? Why," I asked.
"I don't know, whenever we fight, he always wins, there's something about his presence that just makes me freeze," he said.
"Could it have something to do with what Hisoka called nen?" I asked.
"Maybe," he said. "Is there anything else on your mind?"
I shook my head and Killua looked at me, studying me almost, he sighed. "Alright then, I'm here if you need anything."
I nodded, "Thanks." I said knowing I will never go to him willingly for something. I have a problem with trust issues.
After Leorio lost his match, it was 2 to 2. "I'll go next," killua said, as he stood and walked up to the front of our platform. His opponent doing the same. They met in the middle. (🎶don't you just meet me in the middle🎶...anyways)
I recognized this person as a serial killer. I guess Leorio also did. "Wait, Killua! Don't fight him! He's dangerous!" Leorio warned.
"Killua will be fine," I muttered.
"How do you know that," Leorio asked.
"Oh, you don't know," Gon stepped in. "Killua is an assassin."
"What if Killua didn't want anyone to know?" I whispered to Gon.
"It doesn't matter to him," he replied. "I can tell."
While Killua's opponent was talking about how he was going to kill him, Killua beat him to it, taking his heart out. As he mentioned earlier, he had blood on the heart. 'Not bad, killua.'
He walked back over and Leorio backed up, scared of him. Killua smiled at me and I gave him a nod, hopefully he picks up on how that nod was saying 'nice job.'
"Who's the last person?" Someone asked. I stepped up. "A girl?" He laughed, my eye twitched.
"I'll have you know, I am more capable of-" I got cut off by him.
"Yeah yeah, this fights gonna be easy," he said as he walked up to the middle platform.
"Uh-oh," killua whispered as I started walking too.
I was trying to keep my cool but my opponent was going on and on and on about how he was going to beat me and how easy it's going to be.
"You know, you're really starting to piss me off," I said.
