Time skip a few days
Annaka POV
I have been training everyday. What everyone doesn't know, is I've also been training at night, against a person I made with one of my abilities. I haven't been trying to use more than I can handle against it though. I just do I can handle without blacking out which, now, is 20 of my abilities. Out of 24. I'm almost there. I'm so close to not hurting the ones I care about.

"Annaka? What are you doing awake out here," I heard someone ask. I recognize that voice from anywhere. It was Killua.

"What are you doing out here," I ask.

"You weren't with me when I woke up so I went to find you," he answered.

"Oh," I simply reply.

"Why are you out here?" He asked again.

"Training," I say as I sat down.

"At night? Have you been training every night and day?" He asked.

"Yea," I say. "It's not a big deal. I just do what I can handle at night and I expand it during the day."

"When was the last time you slept?" He asked.

I thought for a second, before I shrug, "I don't know. I'm not tired so it's fine."

He sighed, "Coulda woken me up, I could've helped you."

"No need, I have her," I say, gesturing to the clone I made of myself.

"Yeah but it's different training with an actual person," he stated. "Whats it made out of?"

"Have you ever watched My Hero Academia?" I ask, he nodded so I continue, "Do you know Ecoplasm?" He nodded again, "It's kinda like his quirk but if I want to I can switch between my clones. Like this," I say as I switch to my clone, but it wasn't my clone anymore obviously, it was me.

"Woah, that's cool," he states. "How many abilities can you control at once now? Without blacking out?"

"20, almost 21," I reply.

"So what's your training like? At night?" He asked, he sat down on the ground and I sat next to him as my clone disappeared.

"I only do what I can handle. Or what I think I can handle without having any problems. So, usually, at night I only use 18 because I know I won't black out. Sometimes I strengthen one ability so it's stronger," I explain. "But..the thing is....the stronger the ability, the worse the blackout is if I do blackout."

"For what its worth, I think you're doing great. If I was in your shoes I probably wouldn't even be able to control 3," he laughed.

"You're underestimating yourself," I say. "You probably would have gotten the hang of it in a few days. It's almost been a year and I'm still having trouble."

"You're getting close though, and you're working hard, that's all that matters," he replied.

"I'm putting everyone in danger, every single time I black out," I retorted.

"I don't think anyone cares, at least I don't. I just want you to be happy, and I can tell you aren't. And you won't be until you have full control," he said.

I look up at the glistening stars, "So it's obvious? I thought I was hiding it well."

"Nope, I actually wasn't sure, but now I am, you're pretty good at hiding your emotions. Even better than me," he said, I facepalmed. I basically just told him I wasn't happy with myself.

"I am happy, at least when I'm with you, and gon, and the Chairman. Like normal things, no training, no pressure to do better. I'm happy when there's no training and my mind is off training," I say.

"So you're always unhappy," he said.

"What? I just sai-" He cut me off, as he talked I turned my head towards him.

"How are you supposed to have happy moments without training if you're training day and night," he questioned.

My mouth fell open, I scrambled for words, but found none. I mean what was i supposed to say to that?

"You should stop being so hard on yourself," he said. "Anyway, we're almost done completing the game you know."

"I know," I smile, then frown, "But we have to take down the bomber."

"Yea," he replied. "We're planning on attacking tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?! Why haven't I known about this?!"

"Because you aren't participating," he said.

"What?! Why not?"

"Your last day of training with Kite is tomorrow," he replied.

"Okay? And?" I ask.

"You're gonna finish your training."

I roll my eyes, "Fuck that training I want to fight."

"No, me, gon, and bisky have it covered. We already have a plan," he said. "No buts."

I sighed, knowing he wouldn't tell me anything until it was over. "Fine."

He smiled, "Let's go back to bed."

"Okay," I say and follow him back.

We cuddle up against each other on a rock and fall asleep.
