chapter 8

Annaka POV
I sighed as I finished the Red Queen series, we still had 30 hours left.

"You read kinda fast," Kurapika said as I walked up to the book shelf, I nodded.

I chose to read the A Good Girl's Guide to Murder series. "Another great option," kurapika said, I nodded once again. "Sorry if I overstepped earlier."

"It's fine, I mean you were right," I mumbled.

"About what? The trust issues? Abandonment issues? Attachment issues?" he asked.

I sighed, "All of it."

"I mean I can't blame you for what your family put you through," he said, I was surprised by this.

"What all do you know about my family? And who told you," I asked.

"I know you went through brutal training, abuse, and...." He went silent.

"And what?" I asked. 'Does he actually know what I think he knows?'

"The um r-ra," I flinched and covered his mouth.

"how do you know this?" I asked.

"Some of it from Killua, some of it from research," he said.

"Why is everyone doing research on my family," I sighed.

"I'm sorry you went through that," he said, looking at me apologetically.

I shrugged my shoulders, "Just bad luck I guess."

"You were what?" Gon asked, looking at us with surprise and somewhat sad eyes. "Kurapika what were you about to say?"

"Nothing," I said. "Don't say anything." I said to Kurapika, he nodded. "Not many people know about this information and I would like if it stays like that." I got up and walked away to read my book.

Killua POV

"I know you went through brutal training, abuse, and..." I heard Kurapika say as I was playing with Gon's fishing rod.

"And what?" Annaka asked, she looked scared, I mean it didn't look it because she's good that hiding it, but I noticed it.

"The um r-ra," he didn't get to finish as Annaka flinched and covered his mouth, I froze. 'was he about to say..'

"You were what?" gon asked, we were a few meters apart but gon asked it anyway, the room went silent. Gon looked at Annaka surprised and sad. "Kurapika what were you about to say?"

Annaka flinched slightly. "Nothing," she turned to kurapika, "Don't say anything. Not many people know this information and I would like it to stay like if it stays like that." She got up and walked away to the couch, reading a book.

I look at Gon, and he looks at me. (🎶i look at him...and he looks at me🎶..... anyway)

"was he going to say," Gon trailed off.

"I think so," I said as I look away from Gon to look at Annaka. After a few seconds she looked up from her book and looked around, probably trying to find who was staring at her. Finally her eyes locked with mine and I quickly turned away, my heart beating a little faster.

Kurapika POV
'So i know she really was raped, I knew she was abused, but I only had a suspicion she was raped, but now I know for sure,' I sighed as I thought to myself.

I noticed Leorio look at Annaka with surprise in his eyes. 'Did he hear?'

He walked up to me, "Is it actually true?"
