chapter 27

Kurapika POV (When he was kidnapped by her dad)
I had just came back to my hotel after my day of looking for a job for my plan of finding the Troupe. I heard a shuffle from behind but before I could look back, everything went black.

I woke up in a dark room, chaining to the wall by my left leg. I looked around the room. It was slightly lit by the window from the moon and I recognized it. 'Is this the room where we found Ann-'

Before I could even finish my thought, someone walked into the room. I recognized him as Edwin Betz, Annakas dad.

"Good morning, Kurapika of the Kurta Clan," he said with a menacing smile.

"Why am I here?!" I ask.

"Because you're my hostage of course!" He said with enthusiasm. "I want Annaka home, and this is the only way to do that."

"We thought you were dead! She killed you!" I say.

He smirked, "I was pretty lucky. My doctor was very skilled."

Annaka POV (back to present)
I was finally at my house. I called the number my dad called from. "I'm here but before I come in let Kurapika go!"

"On it," he said, again, I found HEAR hid smirk.

Suddenly Kurapika fell from the gate of the house. Although I caught him. "Kurapika!" I say, worry lacing my voice. i quickly scan him for injuries, there weren't any. I sighed in relief. I told the butler to take him somewhere safe.

"What about you? You're not going to be safe in there! And he's too strong for any of us butlers to fight!" He exclaimed.

I smiled softly at him, "I'll be fine."

Then my dad came out and knocked me out.

Killuas POV
God dammit! Why does this have to happen all over again?! I swear to God if he kills her-

"Killua," Gon said. "She's going to be okay. She's strong."

I looked at him, letting him know heard him but I didn't answer. I was afraid if I did, I would cry. I couldn't cry. I shouldn't be crying! So I don't.

"It'll take 2 days to get there," the Chairman says.

"2 days?! Any thing could happen in that time! Her dad probably has one of us kidnapped. Obviously not me or gon but Leorio or Kurapika could be kidnapped! its  very likely. Knowing her, she'll get there as soon as possible. And she has ways of going fast!" I say. I keep rambling on about this.

"Well we don't have a way!" The Chairman yelled, worry and sadness in his raised voice. This caused me to go silent. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled."

"It's okay, I understand," I say.

"But this isn't the time to be spiraling, we have to save her," he said.

"And that's what we will do," I say, determination in my voice.

Kurapika POV
I woke up on a bed on a room. I was no longer on that cold torture room. Which only meant that Annaka had went home.
NO! Stupid Annaka! Why did you go?!

"Hello kurapika, my name is Shizuko, I'm a butler for the Betz family," the person introduced his self as he walked in.

"What happened?! Is Annaka at her house!? Is she okay?! Why aren't you helping her?!" I yell at him.

His body language along with his face turned to a look of worry and fear. but not directed at me.

He looked down, "I'm sorry, I am not strong enough to go against her father, I'm sure the Chairman, Killua, and Gon are on their way right now to help."
