Annaka POV
I followed my dad to a room. The room had a couch with 2 coffee tables next to them. And a single person chair. I chose to sit in the chair.
"Coffee?" He asked, walking up to the coffee maker.
"As long as it's not poisoned," I joked.
"You're trained again all poisons anyway," he laughed as he started the coffee pot.
"So, why did you lie about my grandpa? Did he do something bad? Why doesn't he know I exist?" The questions flooded out of my mouth.
"Your grandpa is a good person. He's a great person actually. He would've cared so much about you," he started. "He didn't do anything bad at all. He was an assassin, obviously. It's not that I didn't want him to be in your life, it's not because he's a bad person, nothing like that."
"Then what? Why?" I asked.
"I lied to him because he didn't want to put another child through the intense training we had in store for our children. Your brother and sister, they had almost the same training you did." He said, his eyes saddened when he mentioned my siblings. "I-i also have to talk to you about them too."
My face turned from emotionless to worried. "Wha-"
"Can I explain the grandpa thing first?" he asked, I nodded so he continued. "He left the mansion after that argument. And he never came back. I guess he might know you exist, maybe."
"If he had a suspicion wouldn't he be looking?" I asked. "If he didn't want to put me through that training why did he leave? he could've stopped it."
"He was always one to run away from arguments," he replied.
"Whats he like?" I ask.
"He has a good heart. He's nothing like me. I don't know how I ended up the way I am when he raised me. Maybe it's my mom," he said. "He's kind hearted, kind to everyone, even to his opponents most of the time."
"Where is he?" I ask. "Do you know? Has he ever looked for me? Have I met him by any chance?"
"T-thats the thing," he stuttered. "He's here now, in this building."
My eyes widened. "W-what?"
"By the looks of it, he knows who you are, and he knows you don't know who he is," he said.
"Who is it!?" I raised my voice.
"I-its the chairman," he said.
"Hey, Annaka, we need to ta-" the Chairman walked in. "Nevermind," he walked out.
I started to stand but my dad stopped me, "Wait! I have to talk to you about something else too."
"What?" I asked.
"It's about your siblings," he said in a sad voice.
"What about them?" I ask.
"After you ran away," he started, and then went silent.
"What?!" I yelled. He looked back up at me.
"T-they.. passed away," he said, I froze.
"W-what?" My eyes filled with tears. Even though I don't know them well, they were such good people. "H-how?"
"I-i... killed them," he mumbled.
"You..." I mumbled, tears flowing. "Killed them?"
(A/n I'm crying rn idk why I'm doing this)
"I-im sorry. T-they had told me you ran away, a-and they let you and they were the closest ones there. I just blacked out, like I didn't have control over my own body." He said, on the verge of tears. He couldn't even look me in my eyes, fucking coward.
