"There you are!" Komori busted in and pulled Atsumu's arm making the setter stand from his seat.
Osamu's eyes widened at the sudden intrusion by the libero that all he did was stare. Suna apologetically looked at the younger twin, pulling Komori to a stop while the libero continuously yanked Atsumu in the middle of the Onigiri Miya shop.
Luckily, it was almost closing time and only they were there. Atsumu was standing there holding his chopstick and mouth agape cause he was about to bite off his food.
"You really had the guts to enjoy the night when you ruined somebody else's life! You really are a horrible person, Atsumu!" Komori yelled at the blonde.
"Whatcha talkin' about?!" Atsumu yelled back shrugging off the libero.
"Don't you play dumb with me!"
"Suna! What is he talkin' about?!" Atsumu then glanced at his former teammate seeking clarification.
"I honestly don't know... Komori, let's go..." Suna replied, this time, successfully pulling Motoya back away from Atsumu.
"Sorry about the sudden intrusion and—" Suna continued with a bow, but Motoya pushed him back
"You broke Kiyoo's heart!!" he loudly accused pointing at Atsumu.
"What—" Osamu's furrowed his brows. "Tsumu.. Do ya know anything—"
"How can I even do that!? Omi and I haven't been talkin' for an entire week now! How can I even—"
"Exactly! A weeeek ago, you confessed and then made fun of his feelings!" Motoya bellowed back, obviously concerned about his cousin.
"Made fun?! How—Wait..."
A WEEK AGO- 1st April
"Omi! Hey... I have somethin' important to tell ya." Atsumu smiled as he stopped Kiyoomi in the middle of the hall.
"Tell me now. I'm a little busy tonight."
"How should I... admit this... Okay" Atsumu breathed out, finding the courage to speak.
"I like you."
"Yeah. You told me that already.. You liked me as your friend—"
"NO! OMI-KUN! What I mean right now is I like like you." Atsumu said, covering his blushing face.
Kiyoomi Sakusa froze at that very instant. Did he really confess? Wait... Atsumu likes me, too! Gosh!!!!!
The blonde slowly lowered his hands off his face, waiting for Sakusa's response but all he saw was Kiyoomi's contorted reaction. Sakusa may have shown his disgusted face, but his expression right now was different—it was a mix of confusion and perhaps doubt.
Atsumu was patiently waiting for his answer, but it never came.
Atsumu bit his bottom lip.
"OMI! OMI- KUN!" Atsumu called out making the spiker step out of his trance. The setter awkwardly, but loudly laughed. "It's a joke! April Fools!" and without even looking at Sakusa, he ran away. He doesn't need the reaction to that cause he knows that Sakusa rejected him.
He really planned to confess on April Fools because if ever he got rejected like what happened, he could just say he was kidding. And that's exactly what occurred back there.
