In the warm ambiance of Jake's cafe, there Aera stood at the counter having difficulties choosing what to get and it was her first time as well to struggle over what she wanted.

Usually, she would just order her usual chocolate cake and iced Americano. But today, she wanted to try something new, and what was more peculiar was she never aligned her emotions with something, especially if it was just a mere coffee and cake.

" So... not the usual, ma'am? " The barista asked with a smile, noticing that she was having trouble deciding. So, they made a suggestion, which she seemed to like. " How about you try our best-seller? " The barista then handed her the list of the menu and pointed at the one they were talking about.

She didn't mind having their best-seller at all, she was relieved that the people behind her would finally get to order after what appeared to be an internal crisis over some coffee. She thanked how it was still early and nobody was cranky.

"Sure, I'd love to have your best seller. " Aera confirmed as the barista clicked her pen before writing the order down and told her to take a seat as the order might take a while.

Aera sat on the circular-like chair near the window, a peace lily flower decorated on the center of the table. The melodic background music of the cafe almost made her forget what had happened yesterday with Heeseung.

She frowned, placing both her elbows on the table before covering her face with both her hands. what if he fires me? She thought nervously, anxiety slowly building up as she sighed.

" I can't see your beautiful face, miss. " A voice suddenly said with a chuckle. She knew too well who this person was, placing her palms on the side of her face she looked at him with a frown ignoring what he said earlier.

" I might get fired, Jake. " She said, looking anywhere but him. She felt guilty about what she said but thinking about it, she was not in the wrong either. " Mind if I take a seat? " The blonde asked to which she nodded.

Jake sat, facing her with a calm demeanor even though he was more concerned about why she was saying that. " How did you come to that conclusion? Did something happen? " He asked.

As if on cue, her order came, and as soon as the waiter left, she told Jake about what had happened yesterday with the CEO. Jake didn't like what Heeseung did, but he couldn't help but laugh at what Aera said to him. For her, this is not a laughing matter because of common sense, who would have the face to say that to her boss right?

Aera rolled her eyes, finishing her food before taking her sling bag and coffee with her and getting ready to stand up before walking away in disbelief that she told it to Jake and here he was laughing about it.

" Hey wait! " The blonde called making her turn around with an irritated expression, the look on her face saying 'Make it quick'. Jake smiled, he took a deep breath before walking closer to where she stood which was near the door.

" Can I invite you to dinner? "
