So, her blackmail worked, but at what cost? Obviously this was just going to make Reece hate her more, but she needed this. She needed somebody. Mia was sprawled out on the sofa when she would hear the front door open and close, and some keys drop onto a surface. She'd look through the doorway out into the hall, and Reece would come into sight. He didn't look happy at all.

He would walk over and would fall back into one of the armchairs, sinking back into it, "So? What's wrong with you?" His voice was.. condescending. But, she couldn't blame him. She had been shitty and forced him here. "Life's been shit. Y'know, the usual."

"Course it has. You fucked everyone over." He would scoff with a roll of the eyes. Mia would stay quiet as she studied him, the faint sound of breaking bad playing on the tv in the back. She wouldn't reply to his comment, instead changing the subject. "Have a smoke?"

"If you have money."

"You're rich."

"Dad cut off my allowance for the month. Now pay up."

Mia would scoff as she got up and walked out of the room, coming back a minute later. She'd hand over a £20 to Reece, before laying back down on the sofa. Reece would chuckle as he shoved the money into his pocket and handed over a spliff to Mia, throwing a lighter over in her direction as well. Although her and Reece weren't on good terms, they still managed to get along.

She'd put the spliff between her lips and would light the end, taking an inhale of pure ecstasy. Life was shit, but she had her bad habits to keep her going, and that was all that mattered. She just had to keep going.

"So.."

Mia would look over to Reece as he started to speak, her eyebrow raising in curiosity.

"What's up with you and Charlotte?"

Mia would scoff, inhaling once again with a roll of the eyes as she stared up at the ceiling. Her and Charlotte hadn't seen each other since Charlotte came over that one time, then ran off. Why would he be asking about it now? It's not like anything would ever happen.

"What's got you to ask that?"

"I saw you two get into my car at the party. Thanks for taking it without asking, by the way."

"I returned it, didn't I? Besides, I was just dropping her home. I'm not cruel enough to let her walk home in the dark down a sketchy road."

"If it were anyone else you would have."

Mia would narrow her eyes slightly at she adjusted her position, sitting up as she rested one arm over the back of the sofa. It's not like she could deny it, because if it was anyone else, she would have left them to walk home.

"I was feeling generous."

"That's a first."

Mia would roll her eyes and would scoff, bringing the spliff up to her lips once again. It was a comforting feeling, something she didn't get to feel too often. "Keep this up and I don't think i'll be feeling too generous afterwards."

"Yeah, yeah. Your threats don't scare me." Reece would chuckle as he sank back into the chair and sighed, scratching his head for a moment before his tone changed. "I'm worried about you, Mia."

"What?"

"I know i shouldn't be after all the shit you've done, but, I can't help it. What's going on? What's happened to you?"

Mia would frown as she listened to Reece ask his questions, his tone of voice so sincere it made her heart hurt. She hated the backlash of what she had done. It was the worst part. "Nothings 'happened' to me. I was just doing what i thought was right."

"By telling Aut that some old man was perving on her? By telling her that I hurt him? She won't even look in my direction, Mia. And what you did to Marjorie? She could barely move afterwards!"

"What I did to Marjorie? Bloody hell, Reece. She started it! I was gonna walk away, but your bitch of a girlfriend just had to have such a massive ego!"

Reece's face would contort into one of anger as his fists balled up on the arms of the chair. "Don't talk about her like that." Mia would shake her head in disbelief as she pushed some hair out of her face. "Jesus christ. You're really gonna take her side when you know she was in the wrong? What is wrong with you, Reece? Are you really so scared of losing your new girlfriend that much? Are you scared she's gonna abandon you like your mother?"

As soon as Mia watched Reece's face falter for just that split moment, her heart shattered into a million pieces as she felt the guilt consume her. She shouldn't of said it. She shouldn't have. She wanted to apologise, but, she couldnt. Apologising would make her feel weak. It would make her weak.

A moment of silence would pass, before Reece started talking again.

"I shouldn't of come. You're a cold hearted bitch, Amelia. Don't fucking contact me again." He would get up and would head straight for the door, picking up his keys and slamming the door after he left. Mia would stare at the doorframe going out into the hall in disbelief. She had no chance now. Her life was over. The one last person she had.

Of course, there was always Charlotte.. but that was a bad idea. Not only parting her from her friends and being a bad influence, but it would also put her in danger.

Mia had no one but herself.
