Iso pushed himself into a sitting position, his ribs and head screaming from the movement. He had denied healing from Sage and Skye, rather deciding to just go through it since he deserved it. he was used to it anyway. If he failed a mission then he wasn't allowed to get heals, instead going on his missions with a broken arm, ribs, concussion or any other wound he managed to gain until he healed. it was how the Scions of Hourglass worked, how he lived for years. He ignored or brushed off the other agents concerns, even out right refusing to allow them to get Skye and Sage while he roamed the halls of the protocol. He knew Brimstone knew, though the old man didn't take him off missions, just gave him simple recon missions instead so he can heal.

Heading out of his room was a slow process, a hand tucked protective over his broken ribs, as if cushioning them from further pain. he head pounded with every footstep he took, but he pushed through, heading towards the kitchen to get something to  eat. the halls were quiet save for the yelling of some agents, which were crowded into the common room playing on a game. Iso smiled and continued his mission, not noticing a certain pair of eyes on him. the Kitchens were empty expect for Viper who was sitting at a corner table, going over some papers. she looked up as he walked in and gave a silent nod, before gathering her papers an leaving without a glance back. Iso just gave a half nod back and opened the fridge to figure out what to eat, hen a voice behind him startled him.

"You should at least let Sage take a look at that.." Iso turned quickly to see Gekko looking at him worriedly. "It's fine. It will heal on its own." He replied simply, shaking his head and grabbing some leftover adobo, most likely from Neon. Closing the door, he realized Geko didn't move at all, still looking at him worriedly. "Gekko, it is fine. Just let it go okay?" Iso pushed past him gently after grabbing a fork and settling down carefully at a nearby table, footsteps telling him that Gekko had followed. "At least let her wrap them, so they can heal right." "There's no need. they will heal fine on their own." "No they will heal crooked if you keep moving, you should wrap them so they will be supported.." "Gekko I said leave it. It will be fine." Iso snapped, glaring at the green haired man as he sat beside him. Gekko shrunk back slightly but refused to back down.

Iso sighed softly, and turned back to his food, relishing in the quiet. "Why are you so against getting healed..?" He almost missed the question, turning to Gekko as he registered the question. "I-You weren't allowed healing if you failed a mission or failed a training." "What? Was this with-" Iso just nodded, not looking over at the younger man  to see his reaction. He froze when a hand rested on his and he glanced up to see Gekko. "Your not there anymore.. You don't need to succeed in a mission to get heals I promise. Can you please at least get checked by Sage? I'll come with you to prove nothing will happen." Iso stared at Gekko, surprised that the younger man was trying to help him. He just sighed and turned his head away blushing faintly at the others genuine smile. "Fi-Fine.. Let's get this over with then."

Gekko had kept a constant stream of conversation as they walked to the Medic. At least he was being quiet, trying to not aggravate the Duelists headache. As they walked in Sage glanced up from paperwork and stood heading towards them. "Hey Gekko, Iso.. whats wrong?" Gekko immediately pointed to the duelist. "He has hurt his ribs, and might have a concussion since his head hurts." Iso watched as Sage's face turned into confusion. "I thought we talked about this Iso.. you can come to see me if your hurt." Iso just nodded faintly, looking down at his shoes, as Gekko nudged him carefully. He heard Sage sigh and glanced up to see her shaking her head. "Go ahead and sit down on a bed bud.. I can heal up your ribs, your headache will have to go away on its own.." Iso did as he was told, sitting down on the bed carefully. he felt Gekko stand beside him, then the comforting cool feeling of Sages healing and the pain from his ribs slowly disappearing. He sighed in relief then yawned softly, hearing both Gekko and Sage laugh.

"alright buddy, your good to go now, go get some sleep. luckily for you it's not a concussion just a headache. Make sure to drink water. Gekko make sure he gets to his room please?" Gekko nodded, as Iso pushed himself up off the bed. "Thank you Sage.." Sage just smiled, patting his shoulder. "No worries bud, Just remember next time you can come to me for heals okay?" Iso just nodded, and allowed Gekko to lead him back to his own room. "thank you for the help Gekko." Iso said softly, watching the other man's face split into a smile. "No worries Iso, get some sleep." With a simple head pat Gekko had turned and headed towards the common room once again, leaving Iso standing awkwardly in front of his door. Shaking his head he headed in and changed into pjs, flopping into bed and welcoming the call of sleep, relishing the warmth Gekko gave him.
