Past Hobbies (Reyna-Centric)

headcanon: Reyna trie to do the past hobbies she enjoyed, thou quickly finds out that without Lucia with her, it's hard to do any of them.

Reyna remembers what it was like before Kingdom attacked her hometown. She was tasked by her parents to always keep her little sister safe, and she prided herself on doing a good job on that mission. The two did everything together, drawing, reading, playing, Even cooking. where one was the other wasn't too far behind. Reyna shared all her interests with her sister, Biking, fighting and surprisingly basketball, all in which lucia would try to Imitate her sister, to the enguragment of Reyna. The empress couldn't have been prouder, and she loved the memories of her little sister acting like a mini her. though that all changed.

Reyna could no longer stand the idea of cooking alone, with no little pestering child asking her a million questions a second. "What are you making" "What's this used for?" "Can I help?" "What's this?" "Can I stir?" The questions that usually annoyed her, she was no longing to hear. At one point she broke down crying, albit softly, at the silence of the kitchen as she tried to make dinner for everyone in the protocol. Sage had been the one to find her, and with a little prodding, and a weak moment, just quietly guided her out of the kitchen and towards her room, promising that she'd talk to Brimstone about letting her skip out on cooking. 

The only sounds was the thudding of the basketball, and the squeaking of her shoes as Reyna went through the motions that usually calmed her mind. Every shot she made, she could almost hear Lucia's screams and cheers, her little feet pounding the ground as she jumped for her older sister. Every rebond she could almost hear Lucia begging, "Can I have a turn nowwwww? You promiseddd!" She was so caught up in her head she hadn't realized she was crying until warm water hit her hand. Growling with frustration she wiped hard at the tears, pointedly ignoring the looks Neon, Jett, Phoenix And Yoru gave her before she turned to them. "I'm out, have fun..." before tossing the ball to Jett and turning on her heal heading towards the vulture to wait for the other agents, praying that it could go back to how it used to be.

Reyna found Jett and Raze in the kitchen, hunched over a table giggling madly. confused and mildly concerned, knowing Brimstone or Viper would be pissed if the two were causing damage to the tables again, Rayna approached quietly, neither Duelist noticing her as they focused on whatever they were doing. Upon closer inspection she saw them drawing on papers, both were a little more than scribbles, though of course weren't fully detailed. they seemed to be laughing at each others attempts at drawing a penguin and that threw Reyna into a flashback. "Reyna! Reyna! look! I drew you!" Luci had said, throwing a piece of paper into Reyna's way of the tv, sharing it until her older sister had enough and took it from her. It was surprisingly well drawn for Lucia only being 10, and Reyna was impressed. "Nice Lucia! It looks so good! Im going hang it up in my room okay?" That earned a cheer and hug from lucia before she ran off yelling over her shoulder that she would make more drawings for Reyna.  When she came back, the other two duelist had yet to notice her, and seeing no harm she backed away silently. Changing direction from the Medical wing to the Training room, hoping to let off some steam.

Reyna was standing just outside the containment room, where her sister laid motionless, attached to a thousand machines. each one working to keeping her sister alive until they could find a more efficient way to keep her sister alive and more awake. "I promise herminita, I will find a way to heal you. And will keep you close, like I promised all those years ago" She whispered to the prone body on the cot, before she turned and headed for her room, Her resolve set.
